TOMORROW: CPC BOARD MEETING The CPC welcomes all Campolindo parents/guardians to join us this Tuesday, March 7 in the library 9-10:30am for a general board meeting which will include presentations/Q&A with Principal Alvarez, updates from ASB leaders, and Wellness Coordinator Jenna Wrobel on Fentanyl. This surging epidemic has become a timely topic and we hope you will join us for this important talk. See attached agenda here. Can't make it? Look for future evening parent ed events. Questions? Email: president@campoparents.org. This meeting is for Campolindo parents/caregivers only. All guests must pick up a visitor's badge from the attendance office to attend.


TOMORROW: MEF MARCH MADNESS TIP-OFF EVENT Canyon Club March 7 from 5-8pm. There will be live music and a raffle, and 10% of sales (including takeout!) will go to MEF. 


LAST CHANCE! MERLONE SCHOLARSHIP The Merlone Scholarship will be given to five graduating seniors who will be attending a 4-year university upon graduation from Campolindo. For the class of 2023, five awards of $25,000 will be awarded and will be paid out over the course of four academic years. Deadline March 8. More information here.


REMINDER: CAMPO PARENTS BOOKCLUB IS COMING UP! There's still time to read the book! Join us for our next CPC Bookclub meeting on Tuesday, March 28 at 7pm in the Campo Library. The book we will be discussing is: How to Navigate Life: The New Science of Finding Your Way in School, Career, and Beyond By Belle Liang and Timothy Klein. Click here for more info.

REMINDER: CAMPO SERVICE AWARDS--KEEP TRACK OF YOUR HOURS Students who volunteer in the community may be eligible for a Service Award. CAMPO KEY CLUB CANNED FOOD DRIVE Campo Key Club will be collecting canned foods every Friday through March 17. Email campokeyclub@gmail.com with your name and address, place your bag of nonperishables next to your mailbox on Friday morning, and that afternoon someone will come by to pick up your donation. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS The Moraga Junior Women's Club is hosting its annual Easter Egg Hunt & Spring Festival on March 25. STEWARDSHIP SATURDAY: EXPLORING LAND AND SEA The Lafayette Library will be hosting a free event for high school students on April 29, from 1-3pm. This event is a great opportunity for students interested in wildlife, biology, and veterinary careers. More information here. Register here.

  • TALENT SHOW IS COMING! Leadership is aiming to have a talent show on March 29. Entry form should be in students' Canvas email.
  • CONGRATS TO COMPETITIVE CHEER They placed 5th in the nation!
  • PEACE, LOVE, & PANCAKES Sign up for Webb-Peploe academy on March 10 for all you can eat pancakes for $10. Proceeds go to Vital Voices which helps women in developing countries for Women's History Month.
  • ASB ELECTIONS Campaigning this week with vote held on March 10.
  • BOOK DRIVE Book Club is hosting a drive for schools in need of books for their students. There will be a box outside the library labeled "BOOK DRIVE" where books can be dropped.
  • DISTRICT SPRING FESTIVAL Come to Civic Park on March 11 for the district's spring festival. Food, games, and fun from all the schools in the district.

NEW: GIRLS' FLAG FOOTBALL '23/'24 PLAYER INTEREST SURVEY AND COACHES NEEDED CIF recently approved Girls Flag Football as an official CIF sport. Campolindo is looking to add a team if there is enough interest to do so. If your student is interested in playing, please complete the following form: Campo Girls Flag Football - Player Interest Form. In addition, Campolindo is looking for individuals that may be interested in coaching the team next year. If you would like to apply, please contact AD Ray Meadows.

NEW: CAMP COUNSELORS WANTED! Adventure Day Camp--Moraga & San Ramon. Love working with kids? Having fun, being outdoors, and getting in touch with your inner child? We are looking for enthusiastic, flexible, positive, creative and nurturing young adults to join our Camp staff for the summer. Counselor + specialty positions available. NEW: UC BERKELEY MINI UNIVERSITY PROGRAM FOR STEM The UC Berkeley Society of Women Engineers is hosting this free, one-day program. It provides high school students (of any gender) the opportunity to learn more about majors and careers in engineering and STEM through hands-on engineering activities, professor talks, and interactions with Berkeley STEM students and organizations. NEW: IN PERSON PARENT EDUCATION EVENT Please join Addiction Specialist Dr. Allyson Mayo, Medical Director of Comprehensive Wellness Dr. Rebecca Parish, and CHS Wellness Coordinator Jenna Wrobel for a presentation detailing what parents and guardians need to know about fentanyl, Narcan, and other important drug updates. Tuesday, March 13 at 6:30pm in the Campolindo Library.

CAMPOLINDO DIVERSITY, EQUITY, INCLUSION, AND BELONGING

THIS WEEK: MOVIE EVENT, REPAIRING THE WORLD: STORIES FROM THE TREE OF LIFE What if your community turned a blind eye to acts of aggression and did nothing to speak out against hate? Please join DEIB for this free film event depicting how the city of Pittsburg has come together to fight hate and extremism in the aftermath of the shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue. The showing is at Del Valle Theater in Walnut Creek on Thursday, March 9 from 7-9pm. The movie runs 80 minutes, and there will be a Q&A session with director, Patrice O'Neill, after the film. Register for the event here.


NEW: TOWN HALL THEATRE PRESENTS "LIFT YOUR VOICE"--AN EVENING WITH ANGELA HARRELSON The Aunt of George Floyd speaks about her nephew, Monday, March 13 at 7pm. Pay what you can--all proceeds go to fund the George Floyd Memorial. Signed copies of Harrelson's book available for purchase at the event thanks to Reasonable Books.


NEW: "NO PLACE FOR HATE" MURAL CELEBRATION As the culmination of the mural project led by Campo senior student leaders, the elementary school students had a wonderful time being on the Campolindo campus, interacting with high school students, and reflecting on the No Place for Hate project as a whole. They enjoyed pizza and talked about what DEIB means to them. They discussed why they want to help create safer and more inclusive school communities.


AACI AND NBC BAY AREA HOST "GROWING UP ASIAN IN AMERICA" an annual art, essay, and video contest that reaches thousands of Bay Area students in Kindergarten through 12th grade. Submission deadline is March 15. Theme is "Free to Be Me". Click here for details.


"THE THRIVING WORKSHOP" FOR RISING SENIORS offered by Dr. Kia Darling-Hammond, this workshop on Saturday, March 25, 12-3pm helps students articulate their thriving criteria and apply those to their college research process. AAPI STUDENT LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE This year's Asian Pacific Youth Leadership Project (APYLP) conference will be held both virtually and in-person. PARENT EDUCATION ABOUT RACIAL CONSCIOUSNESS Next session is tomorrow, Tuesday, March 7 from 5:00-7:00pm. The Orinda School District is offering a Parent Education Event about Racial Consciousness with Dr. Lori Watson, founder and CEO of Race-Work. Sessions will be held on the following dates; all sessions will be held in the OUSD Boardroom.

SENIOR PARENT MEETING Our Senior parent meeting will be on March 21 at 6:30pm in the CPAC. Please plan on attending to learn more about the final Senior events celebrated at school. This meeting will include important information about Senior Memory Boards, Senior Ball (5/6/23), Graduation (5/26/23) and Grad Night and more!


INTERESTED IN BECOMING A FIREFIGHTER? Consider the Firefighter Internship Program in conjunction with Cosumnes River College.
