In 1899, Louis-Eugène Pannier began the story of Champagne PANNIER in Dizy, just outside Epernay..

With time and excellent workmanship, the brand earned its reputation and began a new chapter of its history full of promise, moving to Château-Thierry , in the Marne Valley vineyards, in 1937.

The House benefits from magnificent medieval stone quarries, which constitute the cellars, a real setting for the aging of our cuvées. These cellars, dug from the 12th century, were used to build the city of Château-Thierry.

In 1974, an Union of Growers, COVAMA, takes the activity over and the Champagne PANNIER brand becomes its flagship. Then, the key-word of the development is quality.

"This restrained wine integrates its firm acidity nicely, which provides a backbone for the hints of white peach, lemon curd, dried apple, ground white pepper and smoke. A bit shy today, but try with charcuterie or other light fare to open it up."

As a winegrower, Yves Glotin wishes to share through this collection; his discoveries and favorites. All the wines come from family properties with the sharing of common values like the permanent search for quality, the respect of the environment and a know-how transmitted from generation to generation. Yves only produces top quality wines in limited quantities, their aim is to guarantee a wonderful moment of discovery and sharing. Chateau Bel Rose has belonged to the Lacour family for three generations. This confidential 5-acre property in the Lalande-de-Pomerol Appellation is now cultivated by Bernadette Lacour. A woman of commitment, she takes the challenges of the vintage every year to enhance this exceptional terroir.

This wine is full and ripe, with a solid mix of fine tannins and rich black-currant flavors. It has the tannins of the vintage and a powerful fruitiness that gives excellent potential. Made from a blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. 40% of the final wine was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. Drinkable now, but will reward with 5 to 10 years of cellar time.
