Dear River Forest residents,
The Fiscal Year 2023 Budget proposal will be presented at the Committee of the Whole Meeting on April 11, with a public hearing to follow. Among the priorities included in the budget are the continued investment in maintaining critical infrastructure, including our streets, water, sewer systems, and stormwater management projects. The Fiscal Year 2023 Proposed Budget is available for the public to review at vrf.us/transparency. To learn more about the Village Board’s goals within the proposed budget, please view pages 26 and 27.
I am honored to be speaking today at Dominican University and welcoming Dr. Glena G. Temple, who will be inaugurated as the new President of Dominican University. There is a long history of collaboration between the Village and Dominican University. Please join me in welcoming Dr. Temple to the community.
Lastly, on behalf of the Village Board and myself, I would like to congratulate Casey Godfrey, principal of Lincoln Elementary, on winning the Those Who Excel Award. The award recognizes educators for their many contributions in education.
Sincerely,
|

While doing your spring cleaning, the Village would like to remind residents to take advantage of the prescription drug take back collection box, located in the basement of Village Hall. This receptacle offers a safe and responsible way to discard unused, unneeded or expired medications so they stay out of the wrong hands and don’t damage the environment by entering the water system.
