“Be My Guest-Join My Club"

2022 Membership growth campaign

  1. Do you recall why you joined Toastmasters?
  2. Do you remember the person who made a difference in your life by asking you to join a club?
  3. Do you realise how much you have learned and grown since then?

Would you like to make the same special difference in someone else’s life?

Bring friends as guests to your meetings and let them see for themselves the many values and benefits that they can gain when they join this unique global organization.

This campaign will run in two phases:

From January 1 to April 30

Members who bring a guest and convert them into a member by April 30 will be able to choose an e-book of their choice from the following four authors (incentives must be claimed by May 15, 2022):

  • Ross Mackay: “Humour is no Laughing Matter”
  • Phil Tasci: “Speak Like a Pro: Everything you need to know to survive your next speaking gig!”
  • Ron Tsang: “From Presentation to Standing Ovation”
  • Geoffrey Smith: “A Speaker's Guide to Effective Communication”

From May 1 to June 30

Members who bring a guest and convert them into a member by June 30 will receive an "Enthusiasm Award" ribbon. Incentives must be claimed by July 15, 2022.

To claim your incentive, please email the Club Growth Director at CGD@Toastmasters60.com and the District Director at DD@toastmasters60.com with the name of your guest(s) and the name of the club they have joined.

Promote Talk Up Toastmasters (February 1 to March 31)

Toastmasters love to connect, so take advantage of it. The Talk Up Toastmasters membership program is the chance to encourage your members to invite guests to a special meeting where prospective members can learn about Toastmasters' many benefits. Then add five new, dual or reinstated members with a join date between February 1 and March 31, and you’ll receive a special Talk up Toastmasters ribbon to display on your club’s banner. Qualifying clubs can also earn a special discount code for 10% off their next club order. (The discount code expires six months from the date of issue and is not valid with any other offer.)

Applications and payments for members with a join date between February 1 and March 31 must be received at World Headquarters or online no later than March 31. The addition of transfer and charter members does not count towards Talk Up Toastmasters credit.

Hello District 60 Club Officers,

I wanted to reach out as I’m doing a project for my DTM to manage the District 60 Tip of the Week page. I'm looking to post twice a month with tips from members all across the District until the end of the term. This is an excellent opportunity for either you or a member of your club to share knowledge and have the opportunity to be a permanent part of the District webpage!

Here is my criteria for the posts:

  • Can be written by any member in D60.
  • Can be on any topic related to Toastmasters.
  • Length of 2-4 paragraphs or bullet point list (I want these to be shorter, very easy to quickly read).
  • Prefer to have a picture of the member to go along with the post (not required, but optional).

If you’d like to participate, please reply to this email with either your tip of the week or a member of your club who might be interested.

Thanks,

Carrie Webster, PM5, PI5
