Note from School Leaders

Dear Rising Tide Students and Families,


We started the fourth and final term of the school year today, and Third Term Report Card Conferences will take place after April Recess between Wednesday, April 24 and Friday, April 26.


We are hosting a Scholastic Book Fair this week, with an after-school shopping event for families on Thursday afternoon from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. All profits will go towards getting more books for our students, teachers, and library. Thanks for supporting life-long reading and our school!

Upcoming Events

Monday, April 8 and Tuesday, April 9: All middle school students (grades 5-8) will participate in the ELA MCAS test.


Tuesday, April 9 - Thursday, April 11: Rising Tide will host a Scholastic Book Fair.


Thursday, April 11: The Theater Club will host an ice cream fundraiser for upper school students. Proceeds will got towards materials for the spring musical.


Friday, April 12: All upper school students will participate in Spring 2024 US Fieldwork Day.


Friday, April 12: Students traveling on the school trips to Italy and Ireland will depart in the afternoon.


Monday, April 15: This is the early-bird deadline for registering for Rising Tide's 2nd Annual 5K to be held on May 11.


Monday, April 15- Friday, April 19: School will be closed for April recess.


Monday, April 22: The Rising Tide Board of Trustees will have its monthly meeting at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom. This meeting is open to the public.


Saturday, April 27: There will be a reunion for those seniors and former 8th grade students who attended 8th grade at Rising Tide in the 2019-2020 school year. The event will be held from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm at Rising Tide.


Saturday, April 27: There will be a PhotoVoice Exhibition for upper school students to showcase their work from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at Rising Tide.

Scholastic Book Fair is This Week

Our Scholastic Book Fair is set up and ready to welcome visitors from April 9-11. Visit our Book Fair website to get a preview of the books and to sign up as a volunteer. Middle school students will visit the Book Fair with their classes, and we are hosting a special after-school shopping event on Thursday, April 11 from 3:00 - 5:00 pm.


It is our intention that every student who wants a book is able to go home with one. If you need financial assistance, please contact your child's advisor or email Research and Teaching Librarian, Meghan Stellman, at mstellman@risingtide.org if you have any questions.

Junior/Senior Prom Tickets Now on Sale The Rising Tide Junior/Senior Prom will take place on Friday, May 10 at 7:00 pm at the Waverly Oaks Golf Club. Tickets are $105 each and are on sale now during upper school lunch. Tickets are only available to seniors and juniors (unless approved by a member of the Upper School Administration Team). Outside guests need to have a permission form signed to attend.


Upper school students will be hosting a Hilliard's Chocolate Sale during upper school lunch all this week to help fund the Junior/Senior Prom. Chocolate bars are $3 each and include a variety of options, such as milk chocolate, dark chocolate, rich milk chocolate filled with caramel, rich milk chocolate filled with peanut butter, and rich milk chocolate crispy.

Rising Tide to Host Senor Luncheon

Rising Tide will host a Senior Luncheon on Wednesday, April 24. Interested seniors can pay $5 to have lunch delivered to school from either Chipotle or Chick-fil-A on April 24th. To participate, please pay $5 at the Prom/Hilliard's Chocolate table during upper school lunch. Proceeds will help fund the Senior Trip.

Rising Tide Juniors Invited to Attend NACAC National College Fair

On Friday, May 3rd, their will be a field trip for grade 11 students to the NACAC National College Fair at the Boston Convention Center. Students will be able to chat with representatives from colleges located in New England and across the country, as well as military/ROTC programs. Following the fair, we will travel across Boston to the Fenway, where we will tour Emmanuel College and Wentworth Institute of Technology. The cost for the field trip is $21. Here is a list of schools participating in the fair. 

Seniors, Please Share Your Future Plans

We invite all Rising Tide seniors to share your future planning news. Please email announcements and photos to Martha Popoloski at mpopoloski@risingtide.org. Announcements might include college acceptances and intended majors or other final post-Tide plans. In the past, photos have often shown students sporting their college gear or holding up an acceptance letter. We know decisions are still rolling in and financial awards are not yet finalized, so feel free to share updates whenever you have the chance. 

Summer Painting Studio Enrichment Classes are Full - Accepting Names for Waitlist

This July, Rising Tide will once again be offering two weeks of our popular Summer Painting Studio class. These classes are open to all students in grades 5-12, as well as incoming students who will be new to Rising Tide in the 2024-25 school year. Session One runs July 15-19 and Session Two runs July 22-26, 2024 from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm each day.


All spots in these classes are now filled. However, if you would like to put your child on the waitlist, please email Mr. Walker at twalker@risingtide.org.

Rising Tide's 2nd Annual 5K is Saturday, May 11th

Join us for Rising Tide Charter Public School's 2nd Annual 5K on Saturday, May 11, beginning at 9:00 am. There will be music, raffles, snacks, and t-shirts. This event is open to the public and all ages are welcome. Runners of the 5K will be officially timed and enjoy a challenging course complete with Plymouth's own heartbreak hill. 10:00 am: 5K Begins


Registration for runners and walkers is now open. Early-bird pricing is $20 (only $10 for a Rising Tide student) and includes a t-shirt for runners who register on or before April 15. All registrations are $20 after April 15. We have many sponsorship opportunities available.
