Grace will be hosting Family Promise THIS COMING WEEK, June 18-25, and we would love to have you join us!

There are many opportunities to connect with and care for our guests during this week. We have spots for setting up, Dinner Hosts, Evening Hosts, Overnight Hosts, and resetting.

Each of these roles helps provide a safe, welcoming home for our guests, and we want to be sure that they have a wonderful experience every night they are with us. Your participation makes a difference!

Please consider how you might join in this week of welcoming and click HERE to sign up! For more information, please contact Pr. Rachel.
Grace Endowment Fund
100th Anniversary Gifts

"I support the Endowment Fund because it is a wonderful way to support various needs locally and worldwide outside of Grace’s usual Missional Spending Plan. I have contributed to this Fund because I also like knowing that donations to the Fund remain there in perpetuity allowing it to grow while using income from its earnings to be distributed as grants to worthwhile needs." - Wally Seigler

This month, our anniversary month, we are invited to join in the legacy of Grace. 100 years ago, the legacy began with those who pooled their resources and built Grace. Now, that legacy carries on in our ministry, and in our Extended Ministry - this is what the Endowment Fund is for. The Fund gives grants to 'above and beyond' ministries of our congregation and community, making more ministry possible.

This Fund, and the amount of grant money available, grow through gifts from Grace members and friends. This month, please consider taking part in growing this Fund and supporting extended ministry by giving a special gift to the Endowment! You can give this gift through the offering plate, via online giving, or by mail.

Thank you for your support of the Grace Endowment Fund and for considering a gift this month!
Summer Book Study

This summer, Grace will host a book study centered on "The Color of Compromise" by Jemar Tisby.

We will meet for 6 weeks, on Wednesdays in July and early August.

July 5 - Ch. 1-2
July 12 - Ch. 3-4
July 19 - Ch. 5-6
July 26 - Ch. 7-8
August 2 - Ch. 9-10
August 9 - Ch. 11

There will be a meeting at 12 pm and at 6pm each of these days; choose the time that works best for you. You are welcome to be part of this study even if you can't come every week.

The church will be purchasing several copies of this book, but if you'd like to get a head start, it is available on Amazon and through bookstores.

Please contact Pr. Gregg with any questions.
SENIORS@GRACE

Come join us on Thursday June 22 for a special walk down memory lane when Seniors@Grace share a meal from the 1998 Filled With Grace cookbook. Our yummy lunch will feature a vintage recipe for chicken cacciatore that Sue Waataja contributed to the cookbook and Jean Faut’s earthquake cake. Then after lunch we will share our stories to help celebrate the 100th anniversary of Grace Lutheran Church. Come prepared to share a story that connects you to the church. Make plans to come at our usual time of 11:30 am with lunch at noon. Please RSVP to Annie Laurie Wheat by June 20th. Cell phone 803 517-0626 or by email at wheatannielaurie@gmail.com

100 Connections
We have 27/100!

"During our family vacation to Punta Cana, Ashlyn met Anya and Coco at the Kid's Club. We became fast friends with their family and spend most of our time with them at the pool and during evening entertainment. Anya does competitive dance and has a competition in Charlotte this coming winter, so we may see them again!" - Traci

We are constantly making connections in our lives - as part of our 100th anniversary, we are making at least 100 new connections as a congregation! To share a connection you've made, please click HERE!
Grace Member / Friend Memories
One of the ways we will be celebrating the rich history of Grace this year is to hear about its impact on the lives of its
members.

These do not need to be very long - even a single paragraph would be fine. Simply share with us your perspective, the way your story and Grace's story came together, and we will publish these remembrances in these Grace Notes publications throughout the year.
Email your memories to 100years@gracerockhill.com
Centennial Temple Talks

As a part of Grace's 100th Anniversary Celebration, we will share a Temple Talk highlighting Grace's history through the decades on the first Sunday of each month, from March through December.

Click on the links below to read our Temple Talks, about Grace in the 1920s, '30s, '40s, and '50s.
Communion, Anyone?

As you may have noticed, we are sending Home Communion out to those who wish to receive the sacrament but cannot easily attend worship on Sunday mornings. Would you like to receive Communion in this way? Do you know someone who might? Please let the Church Office know, so we can meet these needs and extend God's Grace in this way!
