The Parkinson's Support Group meets on the second Thursday each month at 2:00 p.m. The meeting is open to YMCA members & non-members. Caregivers are encouraged to attend. If you or someone you know has Parkinson's, there is a Parkinson's Combination Exercise Class and Speech Therapy Class that meets every Thursday from 3:00 to 4:00 in the YMCA's downstairs group fitness room. There are chair exercises for the body and speech exercise to strengthen the voice and the muscles used for swallowing. The class is free.

GRAND RIVER SCHOOL OF PERFORMING ARTS
Interested in a career in the live sound engineering field? Grand River School of Performing Arts currently has openings for sound engineer trainees at live shows in the NE Oklahoma region. You'll get hands-on training from a seasoned professional who has more than 35 years of experience working with big name bands and traveling the world. The May Chamber Connection Luncheon was held yesterday, May 9th, at Creekside Cabins, 62141 E. 313 Rd. Grove. Jeff Hendrix spoke about the family friendly resort, VRBO cabins, and RV spots. Chamber President Amanda Davis spoke to the group about National Travel and Tourism Week, May 19-25, and how tourism stimulates economic growth. She also gave information about the Oklahoma Film & Music industry and how making our community film friendly will impact our economy. If you would like more information on either of these topics please contact the chamber.
