Prayer Requests
"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances for this is God's will for you in Jesus Christ. " 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Pender is a church committed to the power of prayer. Our "prayer chain" is a group of church members constantly in prayer for the needs of our congregation. To make your prayer needs known, you may email the prayer chain by clicking here to send an email to our group of prayer warriors.
Pender has a powerful group of individuals who pray for the needs of the congregation. This group offers prayers of thanksgiving, for strength, for healing power for family and friends and for other issues in your life.

Please contact Iris Salcewicz with any prayer requests you have and if you would like to become a prayer warrior for Pender.

Your joys and concerns will be added to the prayer list.
Help Us To Be There

Holy, life-giving Spirit,
infuse in us your ability to remain present to your people.
Help us to be there,
to be right there,
for the people who need us.
There for young people,
there for the elderly,
there for the brokenhearted;
fire our hearts with your life-changing presence.
Even though we know you to be everywhere
and in everything,
give us the ability to be fully in one place at a time,
open and ready to love.

“Service Prayers.” Www.xavier.edu, www.xavier.edu/jesuitresource/online-resources/prayer-index/service. Accessed 20 June 2023.

All Pender Meetings, Classes and Events on the Church Calendar expired June 30.

We need for EVERYONE to reach out and meet with your respective boards, clusters, groups, teams, and volunteers to develop your 2023-2024 plans and get your dates added to the church calendarThe goal is to post our rental rates no later than July 24th.

  • We now have two smaller churches (7th Day Adventists and The House of David) whom are renting space at Pender (praises)! We now have other churches, church groups, and organizations who have expressed a real interest and desire in renting space from us.
  • Pender. This is a win/win in making disciples for Jesus Christ who will go and transform the world! It assists us in closing the fiscal resource shortfall that Pender is currently experiencing.
  • We fully appreciate and understand that there have been some hiccups in this new leasing period -- we ask for everyone to extend grace to each other and to our fellow Christians and persons who will lease our space.
  • Communication and listening is critical as we move forward in this new season.

Thank you all for sharing your gifts, talents, skills, abilities, and most importantly for all that you each do in making disciples for Jesus Christ who will go and transform the world!

If you are the leader of a meeting, Sunday School Teacher or event contact, please add your events for the summer 2023 or the 2023/2024 school year to the Event Calendar.

This applies to events at Pender, Zoom Meetings, groups at people's homes, enjoying a meal at a restaurant. All Pender events must be accounted for as they are reported to the District Office.

Pender Members can add your own events to the calendar through MyPenderPage.

Log onto MyPenderPage, find "Events" on the menu bar, then "Calendar". On the right top, click on "Add Event" to add it to the Pending Calendar.

You will get an email when your event is approved. Note that you cannot add an event to a room that is already reserved for another meeting.

If you need a paper form, you can download it here.
