Empowering Growers To Thrive With Less Water
Spring 2022
Greetings!

Thank you for subscribing to the Dry Farming Institute's (DFI) eNewsletter! We are excited to grow together this year and have exciting news, resources and events coming up this spring to share with you.

Please forward this message on to others who may want to stay in the loop and learn more about how we can all help empower growers to thrive with less water.
Dry Farming Seed Directory
The Dry Farming Seed Directory is now live! This directory was developed through our Resilient Seed Stewardship Program and is intended to help growers identify and source high quality crop varieties that have been demonstrated to perform well under dry farmed or minimally-irrigated conditions. For more information visit: https://dryfarming.org/dry-farming-seed-directory/
Dry Farmed Produce Marketing Campaign
These beauties are fresh of the press and available on our website! We partnered with Washington Water Trust, Culinary Breeding Network and Wirtheim Design to create this 'Eat Dry Farmed' poster and expand our Dry Farmed Produce Marketing Campaign.

Saturday, April 2nd 11am–3pm: Agrarian Sharing Network (ASN) Propagation Fair will be outdoors at Emerald Park (1400 Lake Ave., Eugene, OR): ASN is a decentralized, collaborative network focused on distributing plant diversity to friends and neighbors and creating a shareable reproducible model for others to implement. Don't miss their last propagation fair of the year! DFI sponsored the drought tolerant rootstock for this event.

Saturday, May 7th 10am - 3pm: Incredible Edibles Plant Sale hosted by the Multonomah County Master Gardeners Association at NE 16th Avenue and Hancock Street in Portland, Oregon. DFI will be tabling at this event and have starts and/or seeds of top-performing varieties (tomato, squash, melon, bean, corn) from dry farm trials in Western Oregon, and the new 'Eat Dry Farmed' poster available for purchase. Supply will be limited so pre-order yours here while supplies last! All proceeds will go directly to further our mission of empowering growers to thrive with less water.
