New Pedestrian Signal Installed at Sand Lake Road and Country Place

Last month, a new pedestrian crossing was installed at Sand Lake Road and Country Place. The new pedestrian crossing features a flashing beacon in addition to a pedestrian crossing sign.

To activate the beacon, pedestrians and cyclists must press the button located on the beacon. As a friendly reminder, cars must yield to pedestrians and cyclists crossing the street regardless if the beacon lights are activated, as it is a state law.

Village Reminders

Need to report non-emergency issues to the Village, such as potholes, streetlights, or overgrown grass? The Village has recently launched our new service request system for residents to report and request issues/ work orders.

Our new service request system aims to be more user-friendly for residents to submit requests by grouping similar work categories together, such as streets, water, and trees. From there, residents can drill down to specific request types to narrow down their requests. For more information on our new service request system, please visit www.lindenhurstil.org/servicerequests.
