February is the month of love and we know relationships take effort to make them great! Come and learn about the Spanish-language Healthy Relationship classes Edixon and his wife Claudia offer to our communities.

If you have resources to share, please share at the meeting or email to natand@latinoleadershipcouncil.org for inclusion in the next newsletter or to be shared on our social media pages.
Client Impact
Zarela, a longtime participant of Superación Personal, was inspired by the community and healing she witnessed among group members, and wanted to give back to the community and help others the way Superación Personal helped her relationship with her young daughter. Her wellness centered around meditation, which brought her balance; so she decided to start a Spanish-language meditation class since all those she found were only in English. Today, Zarela teaches our Latino/a participants about the importance of a balanced mind and body through her meditation class; and best of all, her healing has resulted in an improved relationship with her daughter and others.

“Superación Personal helped me grow into the person I am now. I felt heard, empowered, and like I mattered. This motivated me to give that same feeling back to the community that helped uplift me. Without the LLC, I never would have gained the necessary confidence to start my own workshop.”
CADCA Youth Leadership Conference in Washington D.C.
Our Entre Amigos Youth Ambassador, Alex Hernandez-Rivera (far right), went to Washington D.C. for a week to attend the 33rd Annual National Leadership Conference, hosted by the CADCA Forum, the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America. He, along with other youth and staff from Sierra Native Alliance, gained knowledge through various drug prevention workshops, met with our congressmember and staff, and provided input on needed program supports that would benefit our youth and families.

Although he initially did not want to join Entre Amigos, Alex has grown to love the program, created new friendships, and enjoys the leadership responsibilities he has taken on.

We are so grateful to Shelley Rogers from CALY (Coalition for Auburn and Lincoln Youth) and Christina Ivazes from Placer County Health & Human Services who recognized Alex's contributions locally and provided the funding for this incredible opportunity.
Congratulations Roseville PP!
Sending a huge congratulations to our recent graduating class of Parent Project Roseville! These families stayed determined to learn for 16 weeks and because of their dedication, all of them were able to complete our program. We value their hard work, thirst for knowledge, and are beyond proud of each and every participant.

Laser Tag & Bowling Entre Amigos
Entre Amigos kicked off the new year with their annual bowling & laser tag event. Youth from all over the greater Sacramento region joined us for some fun and games. The youth were so happy to reunite after the holidays!
