Library Giving Day

Wednesday, April 6

Library Giving Day is a national one-day giving event focused on supporting neighborhood libraries. The Friends of the Chandler Public Library is collecting monetary donations in honor of Library Giving Day to strengthen and support Chandler Public Library. Last year’s Library Giving Day dollars provided important funding for 1st-grade reading tutoring, adult literacy, the Makery, PressReader, and so much more.
Consider making a gift today in support of your Chandler Public Library.

April is also National Volunteer Month and a great time to tell our volunteers how much we appreciate them! Did you know that the Library’s Adult Literacy programs, computer classes, 1st-grade reading tutoring, Job Center, and Learning Lab are all 100% volunteer facilitated? Library volunteers also process library holds for customers, help prep new books and materials, act as ambassadors for the Library’s Summer Reading Challenge, fundraise for the Library through used book sales, and so much more! Our volunteers make a real difference in our community every day and we so appreciate their help and dedication.
National Library Week

April 3 - 9

National Library Week is a perfect time to visit your library location and explore all the resources and services that Chandler Library - and the Friends of the Library - have to offer. Read more at the City of Chandler news center.

Looking for: Country Information?
Global Road Warrior is one of our best resources for people planning vacations. But did you know it's got a world of information for armchair travelers, too? Read articles about history, holidays and festivals, music, and more. Then, when you're ready to travel again, learn what you need to know about customs, money, tipping, and even which electrical adapters to bring. It’s a great resource for kids doing country reports, too. And you can get it all in one place, from home, free with your library card!

To access Global Road Warrior, visit chandlerlibrary.org, use the Browse the Library dropdown to choose Online Resources - All, then scroll down to Global Road Warrior. You’ll need your library card and PIN if you’re signing in from home. Then choose the country you're interested in, and make sure to expand the menu headings in the left sidebar to see everything that Global Road Warrior has to offer.

Don’t have a Chandler Library card yet? We now offer eCards that allow access to our online resources, including PressReader! If you’re a Maricopa County resident, you can visit our Get a Card page to apply. eCard users can come to the library at any time to upgrade to a full-access card that allows checkout of books and other physical materials.
