This plan includes a number of goals and strategies to reduce and mitigate the effects of climate change, including:
- Encouraging multi-modal transit options and safe, complete streets
- Improving and expanding the bus transit system and bike-share options
- Reducing the urban heat island effects of extreme heat and drought
- Ensuring housing created using the Affordable Housing Trust Fund is located and designed to handle climate challenges including higher rainfall and heat
