This Week's Bell Schedule
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday - Regular Schedule
Wednesday - Late Start
Attention Students & Families,

Please make sure to check your 2022-2023 Course Requests on Aeries as soon as possible, so that you can confirm all of the selections. To check course requests, log into your Aeries Student Portal Account.  From the Welcome page, go to the Classes tab near the top of the screen, and then click Course Requests. When deciding if you would like to request a zero period, please keep in mind that it will begin at 7:30am next year (1st period will start at 8:30am).

Please note that all forms and course request changes must be submitted by 5/27/22. Any student planning to take a summer course OUTSIDE of Palos Verdes Peninsula Summer School (PVPSS) must submit an Out of District Course Application.  These classes need to be completed by 8/12/22, with the transcript submitted to the Peninsula High School Registrar (Deirdre Heimer, [email protected]) no later than 8/26/22.

Similarly, students who plan to enroll in a course that was not recommended by the teacher must submit a Request for Placement Form. For example, the math teacher may have recommended Algebra 2 MCR, but the student would like to take Algebra 2. Counselors will only change the course request after receiving the Request for Placement Form. Once again, all forms and change requests must be submitted no later than 5/27/22.

To request a course change, students must use the bright orange form in the Counseling Office entitled PVPHS Counseling Office Program Change Request for Next Year. Submit the form to your counselor upon completion.

Please go to https://pvphs.pvpusd.net/apps/pages/Counseling/Course-Selection for all scheduling information, forms, deadlines, etc. You can also go to pvphs.com --> Counseling --> Course Selection 2022-23. Any questions/concerns should be directed to the student's school counselor.

Our goal is to make sure that PVPHS students get the best possible classes next year, and confirming the course requests is an essential piece of this process. We look forward to serving you, Panthers!

Sincerely,

PVPHS Counseling Department
PVPHS is proud to announce the winners of the 2021 -2022 CIF-SS Student-Athlete of the Year for Peninsula HS.
Riley Leongkaye
Riley is a three-sport athlete at Peninsula High School. She competes in Swimming and Lacrosse during the Spring season and in Water Polo during the Winter. For 4 years as a varsity starter of the Girl's Water Polo team, Riley has been an outstanding player, a caring teammate, and a respected leader. But when the team needed her the most, Riley accelerated her play into hyper-speed and led the team deep into the CIF playoffs. Every time we needed a crucial goal, assist or steal, Riley provided for the team. Her abilities, leadership and accomplishments in and out of the pool were recognized and appreciated by being named team Captain, All-Bay League, and All-CIF.
Cole Whitten
In the last four years Cole has been training and striving to become best vaulter he can be. Although he has discovered the vaulters are hard core competitors, they are also mentors who are willing to help other pole vaulters reach their goals. Cole has passed on this tradition as a co-captain of the vault team by coaching and encouraging the in-coming vaulters at Peninsula. Being vulnerable, taking calculated risks, physically, competitively, and emotionally, Cole has become a role model for the Peninsula Vaulters. Cole Whitten also brought a balance to his competitive nature by shooting hoops, banging on his drum set in the Jazz Band, and being a Link Crew leader.
