Seeds ... May 8, 2024...

We have a huge lawn and we are getting ready for our annual event that involves a free hot dog for everyone who comes to the iconic small town Memorial Day Parade. The marching and memorial service culminate right across the street in Barnard Park. After, please head on over to our churchyard to enjoy a lunch with your friends. The Mount Everett Marching Band will be served, then we have free hot dogs and drinks for everyone!

We call it Hot Dog Church and we need your help as we expect to serve hot grilled food to 300 people..

Please send us an email with your full name and telephone number if you would be willing to volunteer starting at 10:00 on May 27. Or stop by our coffee hour at 11:00 on Sunday and add your name to the sign-up poster. Thanks so much!

Your adventurous OWLES

leaders, Liz and Nancy, have decided they'd like to try their hands at candlepin or duckpin bowling, a sport popular in Massachusetts when they were kids. (Okay, so we are still acting like owlets!) The balls are much smaller than today's standard bowling balls and not too heavy for seniors to handle. There are not many of these bowling alleys left, but Valley Park Lanes south of North Adams is a popular one. It doesn't open till 3 PM on weekdays, but with daylight lasting till well after 8 PM, we have decided to go on The Park Valley Bowling Lanes on Thursday, May 16, planning to arrive at the lanes around 3:30 pm. OWLES is open to all church folks and their friends who are still young at heart. Please join us for fun and fellowship. Let Nancy or the office know if you would like to join us.
