SCRA Announces New Member Companies and Grant Funding
|

Summerville, S.C. – ADOH Scientific, LLC, GeoGraph Technologies, LLC, Infintium Fuel Cell Systems, Inc., and LifeTagger LLC have been accepted as South Carolina Research Authority (SCRA) Member Companies. As Member Companies, they will receive coaching, access to experts in SCRA’s Resource Partner Network, and the potential to be considered for an investment from SCRA’s affiliate, SC Launch, Inc. Existing Member Company, Hirodika Biosciences, Inc., has been approved for additional grant funding.
ADOH Scientific, LLC has been accepted as an SCRA Member Company. The Mount Pleasant-based startup is building a new category of assessment tools and predictive analytics to identify behavioral health risks and positively influence outcomes. AHOH insights can produce earlier detection and better patient engagement, clinical outcomes, adherence, and transition of care.
GeoGraph Technologies, LLC has been accepted as an SCRA Member Company. The Clemson -based startup provides tools and expertise to map and manage the power and potential of smart fiber broadband networks with ease.
Infintium Fuel Cell Systems, Inc. has been accepted as an SCRA Member Company. The Greer-based startup is an original designer and manufacturer of zero emission hydrogen power cells for motion applications. Infintium is revolutionizing what hydrogen power can achieve by introducing the material handling industry’s first data recorder that provides users with real-time data on vehicle performances.
LifeTagger, LLC has been accepted as an SCRA Member Company. The Summerville area-based startup developed a messaging platform that allows users to share content based on their proximity to any person, place, thing, or idea. Businesses can get the best content to new and existing customers using their real-time marketplace, making it easier to engage with their intended audiences.
Hirodika Biosciences, Inc., an existing SCRA Member Company, has been approved for a second $25,000 Academic Startup Grant. The Charleston-based startup is producing a new bioactive biopolymer for use in cell protection and as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory for radiation oncology. This development promises to improve a patient’s quality of life and generate cost savings.

Grant funding is made possible, in part, by Industry Partnership Fund (IPF) contributions that fuel the state’s innovation economy. Contributors to the IPF receive a dollar-for-dollar state tax credit, making it a no-cost way to help one of the fastest growing segments of the South Carolina economy. Member Company grants create a direct, positive economic effect and job creation.

SCRA Brings Colleges, Universities, and Industry Together to Advance Innovation
|
SCRA announces the funding of over $3.3 million to selected colleges and universities for translational research projects to address key challenges facing the state’s industrial base. SCRA’s funding is being matched by the academic institutions and industry partners, bringing the total amount of the projects to over $6.7 million.
The projects are being funded through the SCRA-Academia Collaboration Team (SACT) program. The goal of the SACT is to connect industry with multi-institutional academic teams and build bridges among the institutions to foster engagement and advance technologies, many of which will enter the marketplace and lead to the creation of South Carolina-based jobs.
