Topic: What Businesses Can Do If There Is An Economic Downturn

In today’s economy, it is hard to predict with any certainty what the next few months will look like. Inflation, labor challenges, increasing cost of goods, stresses on the supply chain, and many other obstacles make it a difficult environment to operate in. The one thing some businesses seek is certainty in the outlook of the national economy. That begs the question…What should businesses be thinking about in the event there is an economic downturn? Don Hicks, Regional Sales Manager-Ohio, for Vensure Employer Services, will discuss this topic and provide some recommendations on what businesses should be thinking about.

COVID forced many employees to work from home, whether they wanted to or not. As recovery continues employee and employers are deciding between their preferred work location. Many employees chose to remain at home even when their business called them back. Some employers, on the other hand, decided to trim costs and allow employees to stay home indefinitely. This battle between home and the office also created a third group--those who are leaving the traditional workforce to “do their own thing.”
