Staying in touch

Dear friends and fans of the Watermelon Pickers' festival,

It's been a while since the last Newsletter, and I just wanted to reach out and touch base. I hope everyone is having a great summer! We are enjoying a much needed break after 18 years of festival planning, and really appreciate your understanding and support as we take a little break this year to reassess.

We are working on a plan for the festival to return in 2024 and will keep you posted. In the meantime this Newsletter is dedicated to some other events you might be interested in attending this late summer and Fall.

Sept. 2-3 is Appaloosa Fest. Dan from the band Scythian asked if we could mention their festival in our newsletter, so here you go Dan! We had Scythian at the festival last year and they put on a fun and lively show. I went to their festival last year and can say that it is very well run and an enjoyable time was had.

Sept. 8-9. The Rockbridge Mountain Music & Dance Festival is not your usual festival. There's no contest and no fancy line-up of big-name acts. No crowds. No pressure to arrive early to get a spot because there is plenty of room!

Oct. 6-8 The Ramble Fest. We ran into Brick at the Flow Jam Festival this summer and he asked if we could mention his 2nd annual Ramble festival in our Newsletter so here you go Brick! Although I've never been to this one it looks like a lot of fun so I thought you all might want to check this one out.
