Rose Sale

On Mother's Day weekend, May 11-12, in the gathering space after all Masses, our Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) will be hosting its annual Rose Sale. Stop by and pick up a rose for your mother or another special person in your life. Roses will be sold for $3 each. All profits go directly to help pregnant mothers/parents/families in need. Thank you for your support!

Pentecost Multi-Cultural Celebration

Immaculate Conception Church and Immaculata Catholic School invite you to be a part of our first-ever Pentecost Multi-Cultural Celebration on Saturday, May 18 from 1:00-5:00 p.m. (Food drop off is at 1:00 pm and food will start being served at 2:00 pm).

Retreat & Level 1 CGS Formation

We are blessed to have a rich, hands-on method of children’s formation based on Montessori pedagogy and Catholic theology called Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS). Not only is this the gold standard for nurturing the spiritual lives of children, it is also a profound spiritual experience for the adults who work with the children in the retreat-like environment called the atrium. We invite you to be formed in the religious life of children at our next retreat/course, June 9-15. While primarily intended for catechists, this formation will be a nourishing and contemplative experience for parents or anyone who wishes to learn more about the Mass and the Bible in light of what Jesus said about children: “Unless you become as little children, you cannot enter the kingdom of God” (Matthew 18:3). Families Moving Forward Opportunities! 

Since 2016, Families Moving Forward (FMF) has been helping families with children who are experiencing homelessness in Durham. Through our Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) ministry, our parishioners have generously supported families in need in numerous ways. 

During the month of May, our parish will once again be hosting the Families Moving Forward "Barrel of Joy" Basket in our Church gathering space. This month, some specific items requested include: 

• Dish Soap 
• Sponges 
• All-Purpose Cleaner / Pine-Sol 
• Bodywash 

Our parishioners also provide a monthly dinner service four times a year at the agency. On Wednesday, May 01, Immaculate Conception’s Catholic Daughters will provide this service. More information can be found on our JPIC Families Moving Forward (FMF) webpage.

Scuba Vacation Bible School

Take kids deep into an amazing undersea adventure where they’ll experience the ever-flowing, never-ending love of God. Kids will be immersed in the Word and discover what living water is all about! We are now accepting registrations for children from pre-k through 5^th grade. We also welcome adults and teen volunteers who would like to help. The camp will be held in Fellowship Hall from June 17 - 21^st from 9:00 AM - Noon. The price per participant is $50. This year’s Earth Day Celebration featured 16 displays prepared by various parish and community groups designed to help us learn more about how we can care for creation, protect our environment, and raise awareness of actions to protect our Common Home. Immaculate Sponsor Opportunities

This weekend's second collection will go towards the Maintenance Fund. This money funds the maintenance of the Church and our surrounding campus.
