Welcome to the Newfound Connection
Each edition of the Newfound Lake Region Association newsletter features events, news, trivia, and the people of the watershed—everything a Newfounder needs to know!

Volunteerism: Good For You, Good for the Newfound Watershed!

From planting pollinator-friendly gardens and maintaining trails to monitoring water quality, volunteering is a great way to dip your toes in the work of conserving the watershed.

Volunteering strengthens communities and allows you to meet new people and learn new skills - all while helping to conserve the Newfound Watershed! NLRA has many ways you can get involved.

We're currently looking for volunteers to fill these impactful roles:

Lake Water Quality Monitor: Perfect for those who boat frequently on Newfound Lake. Water quality monitors collect water samples once a week and process them at home. No previous experience necessary and training is provided.

Weed Watchers: For those who prefer paddling the waters of Newfound Lake, Weed Watchers are trained to monitor aquatic plants and identify any invasive species growth.

See all volunteer opportunities at: NewfoundLake.org/volunteer.

Whether you are newly interested in volunteering or a volunteer veteran, join us to learn more about NLRA volunteer opportunities and meet the staff, trustees, and volunteers of the NLRA community.
