2021 Eagle Scout Commencement
You are cordially invited to attend this year’s celebration of those Eagle Scouts who have climbed the trail and reached its highest summit.
Please join in the celebration on February 6th, 2022 at 3:30pm, on the campus of Randolph Macon College.
January is National Mentoring Month, a special month-long celebration of the impact mentors (like you) make in the lives of our youth through positivity, empowerment, and encouragement. Scouting is nothing if not a program built upon the strengths of mentorship; the passing along of time, skills, and knowledge from caring and experienced adults to creative and enthusiastic children and young adults.
Unit registration is open for Summer Camp 2022 at Camp T. Brady Saunders. There are six total weeks available to choose from, running from June 19th through July 30th. There are 16 separate campsites, four shower houses with individual rooms, a large air-conditioned dining hall, trading post, health lodge, aquatics program, and so much more. Don't miss out on the best week of summer!
If you have ever been involved in Scouting – as a youth in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Varsity, Venturing, Sea Scouts or Exploring, as an adult leader, or if a youth in your family has been involved – then you’re a member of our alumni family. Our Alumni Association will help you reconnect with your Scouting past, keep you informed on current Scouting events, and advise you of opportunities to stay involved.
Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia is hosting a Merit Badge Day on Saturday, February 19th, 2022, open to all Scouts BSA Troops in the Heart of Virginia Council. Thanks to the support and involvement of the college administration, faculty, staff, and community, they are able to offer a great day and merit badge opportunities taught by qualified instructors. While you are there, we hope you will explore the 1330 acre historic campus.
