Location: will be sent out after submitting the form

We're super happy to finally announce that Day of Diversity is set to happen on March 13th, 2023. This year’s theme, “True to You”, celebrates a sense of authenticity that exists within us, formed by our unique experiences, backgrounds, principles, which also unites us as human beings. The idea of a "Diversity Day" is to gather in support of standing up for oneself, one’s beliefs, expressions and encouraging tolerance and peace. It is also a day to celebrate the discomfort of finding who we are, and learning about what it means to be a part of a community.

For the day, we are planning multiple events, including a cookout!!

Pride OUTside Yurt Trip

Join others who identify as gender non-conforming, transgender, non-binary, genderqueer, intersex, and gender diverse on a weekend getaway! You’ll stay in cozy yurts at Nehalem Bay State Park, with heat and power, and spend evenings around a campfire. We’ll visit the beach and spend the day exploring the area on hikes to see lush forests and ocean views. One of the most rewarding and impactful aspects of any group trip is the ability to harness the distance from society in order to build your own group norms and culture. On this trip, your leaders will intentionally create an inclusive, welcoming, and comfortable space where you can thrive, grow, connect with others, and have FUN!

Participation in this trip is NOT ANONYMOUS, but we make efforts to make participation discreet. For example, participant names will not be posted outside the College Outdoors office (as they are with other trips). The yurts are private, but the bathroom facility is gendered, and shared with other park visitors.

DATES: Friday eve, April 14th to Sunday, April 16th

PRICE: $95 or $47 if you qualify for federal aid

REGISTER: at the College Outdoors office in Temp 239, or by calling 503-768-7116
