We find ourselves at the start of the Winter season which means colder and darker nights that will undoubtedly lead to many of arguments about not touching Dad's thermostat. Usually at this time of year I would be writing about all of the different holiday activities that Humboldt has to offer, but much like last year, the majority of our community events have been cancelled or postponed because of COVID. Luckily we still have a few different activities such as Eurekas Trucker Parade and a handful of smaller craft fairs at various local granges. Winter typically cools down our real estate market as well, although last week we saw a spike of 48 new listings, twice our typical amount for this time of year. We are still experiencing a bidding wars on the quality listings, two of my clients missed out on properties last week, and both made strong, over asking price offers. This makes me think there won't be much of a dip this winter like we normally see, and who knows, maybe it doesn't even plateau. I'll keep you guys in the loop!
