MESSAGE FROM RICKY
Dear Friends,
Every February, our new and returning church leaders officially start their new terms of service. I'm grateful for each of our church officers, committee members, and volunteers for the tremendous service they provide. The link below is a list of our lay leaders. There are still a few spots to fill, so we'll update it throughout the year. Click Here For 2023 Lay Leadership
In the United Methodist Church leadership is a shared ministry. No one volunteer, pastor, or staff member can make all the decisions. Which sometimes means that decision take time as they work their way through all the various hands. But, in my experience, we make better decisions when we make them together.
So, the next time you see one of these leaders thank them for the time they give to our church. Pray for them. And consider asking them, "how can I help?" in the coming year! Also, speaking of prayer, a group of church members have invited all of us to gather with them for prayer on Thursday evenings in preparation for our church discernment vote. See below for more information from them.
Grace and Peace,
Ricky

The sanctuary will be open Thursday nights at 5:30pm through March 2 for us to sit in communion with each other and with Jesus. We pray for the entirety of this congregation and for each persons’ deeply held beliefs. And we pray for understanding one another as each person makes their own personal choice.

MINISTRY SPOTLIGHT OF THE WEEK | |
LOVING LIKE GOD
This past weekend our Confirmation class attended the Confirmation Retreat at Camp Lake Stephens in Oxford, MS. The theme was 'Love Like God', and we can't wait to see how God grows the seeds that were planted into the hearts and minds of our confirmands and many others from around the state. We spent time with the main speaker our own Rev. Katie Giedd, worship leader Ben Larsen, and various breakout session leaders helping us explore our faith. We also got to play in the mud for a game of capture the flag - our team won! It was a fun weekend spending time with our confirmands and getting to know them on a deeper level! Confirmation Sunday is scheduled for April 30.
