Brian will be taking classes over the next few months. Some will be for continuing education so he can keep his massage license. Others will be for professional growth.

 

The studio will be closed April 24^th through 27^th while Brian retakes Hawaiian Lomi Lomi in Cocoa Beach. During this class, he will mostly be watching. The instructors have been told that he is a resource for them to use as a helper as he has taken the class six times already.

 

The studio will also be closed June 15^th through 17^th for advanced mediumship classes by Eamonn Downey. These will take place in Vero Beach.

 

The studio will be closed April 14^th and 15^th while Brian undergoes a minor procedure. This has led to he cancellation of the Reiki 4 class (which no one has signed up for).

 

When you look at the world, what eyes are you looking through? What emotions? What filters?

Are you a person that looks at things with trepidation, wondering whether you should dip a toe into the eternal river of life? Should I do it? What will happen if I do? Or are you one who jumps in, throwing caution to the wind?

How we look at the world, at life, is important. It sets the stage for what we do, how we react, what affect we have on others. If we look at the world in fear, then our life here will be spent hiding, looking around corners waiting for something horrible to jump out at us.

There was an old saying about looking at the world with rose colored glasses on. This meant that no matter what was happening around you, everything was colored so you did not see the bad. Basically, everything was rosy.

But what if you look at everything from love? You still see the pain, the ugliness going on, but you send love to it. Love improves everything. Love creates hope, hope that things will get better, hope that your energies and vibrations are felt and that eventually things will change for the better.

Every positive emotion/energy you send to something helps make it better. It may not happen immediately, but every little bit eventually adds up to a large amount, and that is when change happens.

So, look at things through love. Love, even when you feel unable, even when you don’t want to, love. It will make a difference.

When bad things happen, most turn to a higher power. They ask for help. They pray. They look for help from “up above”, or basically an outside entity.

Now first, I want to get this out of the way.  Based on one’s faith, or religion that higher power could be different. It could be God or Goddess, or Spirit, or The Source of All Things. It could be Yahweh, Jehovah, Isis, Horus, or… Bob. Personally, I tend to think they are all names for the same power, but that’s just me. What matters is that there is belief in something, something greater than us.

But there’s the belief and the hope, and then there’s the expectation. That is where a lot of people get confused or sidetracked. Most people believe that if this higher power is going to answer it is going to be more old testament… fire, brimstone, thunder and lightning, the earth shaking. But from experience, I have noticed that spirit (for lack of calling this higher power up to a hundred names) moves subtly. Spirit does not put on a big show. They work in the background, leading us to find the answers rather than just giving them to us, or giving them to us in a way that makes it look like we discovered them.

Back during the pandemic, there was a high ranking politician that was strong with his faith. He believed in prayer, not vaccines. He believed that by praying, “God” would come down and wipe away the disease. Again, thunder and lightning. But how do we know that it wasn’t “God’s hand” that gave us the vaccine? His praying helped create that miracle, but not in the earth-shaking form that he expected.  Zeus does not come down off Mount Olympus casting lightning everywhere.

Spirit works through us, pointing us, leading us, putting that unique, out-of-the-box thought in our heads to get us to follow the path that will lead us to the answers that we seek. This is where our putting energy into prayer, or faith, or belief creates the energy that Spirit notices, and then responds with in kind.

This is how miracles happen. So, go ahead. Help create miracles. But instead of waiting on the ground to shake, look for the results in the subtleness of the air or movement of the birds. Don’t dismiss it. Accept it. Accept the miracle.

The following is a list of currently scheduled classes. This class is a two-day class worth 12 CE hours for massage therapists. Each class (unless otherwise marked) currently has a status of 'Scheduled'. This means that a date has been set, but no one has signed up for it yet. Once a deposit has been received for a class, the status will be 'Confirmed'. The schedule is as follows:

Maximize your results with less effort. Utilize the science of martial arts and apply it to massage. Advanced Body Mechanics and Techniques for Massage Therapists, is designed to reconnect the massage therapist with proper body mechanics and techniques while putting a new twist on things and showing how to get more pressure with little effort. While it does go over some basics, it takes body mechanics to a new level where every move involves the use of the therapist's entire body so they can work without hurting themselves. The class being part lecture, part hands-on practice takes positions, centering, and the proper use of body strength from Japanese martial arts and applies them to the art of massage therapy. It also shows how to focus one's energies to increase their strength with simple exercises meant to teach the student how to 'think' beyond where they are working so they can get deeper into the client and to channel their energies to the point of thought. The student will learn how to focus their energies and use their body to do deep work and not get hurt. This class will help anyone to work deeply with less effort no matter if one is 90 pounds or 250 pounds. This class is for both the seasoned therapist and the new therapist. It will show moves everyone does, but in a new light as well as moves many people may not have seen before. The idea is not to dictate how to practice, but to show better body mechanics which the therapist can adapt to what they do. This is true whether they adapt all of it or just part of it.
