Message from Mayor Pribonic |
Dear Residents & Businesses,
I am delighted to inform you all about the recent progress and advancements taking place in Stow. As you know, we have made great strides with improvements to our parks and recreational amenities. And this will continue! We have also had great successes with residential and commercial development. This positive development and investment contribute to the strength and stability of our city.
In terms of residential development, projects such as Quail Creek and Millers Landing are currently underway, bringing a total of 220 units and 45 single-family lots to our city. Additionally, we are seeing a significant increase in residential investment with a high volume of permit applications for home improvements, including additions, accessory buildings, decks, pools, and more.
On the industrial and commercial front, we have successfully attracted two major corporations to relocate their headquarters to our city. Furthermore, Fogg Developers is adding another building in the Seasons Road Industrial Complex, which will significantly contribute to our tax base.
We are also excited to announce a comprehensive update to our Planning & Zoning Code, aimed at creating a more user-friendly and modern code that aligns with the needs of our city. This project will involve extensive public engagement, and we look forward to your input and feedback.
Additionally, we are in the process of reinstating the Community Improvement Corporation (CIC), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing the industrial, economic, commercial, and civic development of our community.
We have successfully expanded our City team with the addition of a full-time zoning inspector, and we are in the process of hiring a full-time economic development director to oversee and manage our continued growth.
Stay tuned for future improvements and developments in the coming months. And, thank you for your continued dedication and support as we work together to make our city a better place for all.
John Pribonic

Leash Up - Park Goers!
We have received feedback from members of our community regarding off-leash dogs at Silver Springs Park. We kindly ask that you please ensure your furry companion is leashed unless you are inside the designated dog park area. This rule also applies to those heading to the dog park - please leash your dog from your vehicle until you reach the designated off-leash area.
The Stow Police Department is monitoring the situation.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding in keeping our park safe and enjoyable for all visitors.

MAY: Buffers Give Us An Edge
Using native vegetation as a buffer strip along a stream, road, farm field, ditch, or property line offers tremendous benefits. Taking your vegetation “to the edge” of a stream, pond, or farm, will help keep nutrients on the land and out of the water. Roots hold soil in place and reduce erosion. Shade helps lower temperatures and improves aquatic habitat. Buffers also add beauty while saving money and resources.
