Diane Frank will read from her new book, While Listening to the Enigma Variations: New and Selected Poems. A Poetics Talk will follow with ideas about poetry as the language of the soul, virtuoso editing techniques, and how to write poems inspired by music. Then a Q&A. She will share ideas about poetry to help and inspire those who attend.
About Diane
Diane Frank is author of eight books of poems, three novels, and a photo memoir of her 400 mile trek in the Nepal Himalayas. While Listening to the Enigma Variations: New and Selected Poems was published in 2021 by Glass Lyre Press. She is also editor of two bestselling anthologies: Fog and Light: San Francisco through the Eyes of the Poets Who Live Here and Pandemic Puzzle Poems.
Diane lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she dances, plays cello in the Golden Gate Symphony, and creates her life as an art form. Blackberries in the Dream House, her first novel, won the Chelson Award for Fiction and was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize.
