Discipleship
Senior Class Partners with Joshua Expeditions on Mission Trip to San Antonio
The Prince senior class worked in conjunction with Joshua Expeditions to minister to the people of San Antonio, Texas. Students partnered with The Dream Center and the San Antonio Food Bank to share the love of Jesus with the homeless population in the area. Students sorted clothes, cleaned the grounds, made and distributed lunches, and packed food boxes for families in need. Students also had the opportunity to talk with many local people, hear their stories, and pray with them. Senior Rinne Furlow explains that she and her classmates were significantly impacted by the experience. "We learned that there are people all around us in need and that it is not necessary to go to another country to minister to them. We also learned how blessed we are with what we have been given."

Advanced Placement Government Students
Hold Supreme Court Simulation
One of the many assets of a Prince education is the opportunity for high school students to take college-level classes with Prince instructors on campus. These classes not only prepare students for post-secondary education but provide opportunities for interactive learning.

Mrs. Karen Barrett’s Advanced Placement Government classes recently completed a simulation in which students role-played the process of preparing and arguing a case before The Supreme Court of the United States.

The Prince Avenue Christian School National Art Honor Society’s 11th Annual Empty Bowls silent auction was held in January. PACS high school NAHS members, along with faculty members, created 49 beautiful handmade pottery bowls and filled the bowls with goods. A variety of themes were presented such as coffee, edible goodies, jewelry, and small potted plants. Parents and students enjoyed bidding on and competing for their favorite bowls.

All proceeds from the auction will go directly to A Bigger Vision, a local Athens-area homeless shelter. PACS NAHS has donated more than $25,000 to A Bigger Vision over the past ten years, and because of the generosity of the PACS community, this year’s auction raised approximately $4900 to add to that total.
