Did you know every school has a behavioral health professional, thanks to the 2018 voter-approved referendum? South Grade Elementary has a playroom for the behavioral health professional team to connect with students and work through their emotions through play.

Beacon Cove student aces Honda Classic art contest
Milo Walker, a fifth grader at Beacon Cove Intermediate, merged his passions for sports and art in a drawing he submitted to the 2022 Honda Classic Art Contest. His creation won first place, earning Beacon Cove a $1,000 donation, Milo and his family tickets to the upcoming Honda Classic, and an opportunity to see his own artwork come to life on the event's kids tickets.
Students and families are invited to join in on virtual community conversations in March and April with Palm Beach County Birth to 22 about topics ranging from social emotional learning and access to wellness resources to achieving success in higher education and parenting support. Students can earn community service hours for participating.
