THE MID-WEEK BUZZ

Happy Thursday Dear Church!

I hope all of you are having a great week! I will not be in Church this sunday as I am in Oklahoma with my mamma this week. Pastor Debbie will be preaching and I know all of you will enjoy her message. See you next Sunday!

Holding you close and lifting you high!

Pastor Greg

A Message from Pastor Debbie

Blessings to All,

I hope you are taking time to honor Lent. I am challenged with mine this year as I am recording a “Trailmix for the Journey”, AKA “Pastor Deb Moment” on Facebook. A bit different for me to do recordings, but isn’t that part of Lent? Reflect and face some challenges? I am recording once a week, so see you there on Facebook.

Don’t forget that there is a Lenten Study is every Wednesday at 10:30am in the Fireside room. No materials needed. Bundle up as it is a tad chilly in there right now!

There are so many activities going on at our church. We are truly blessed. There is the Blood Drive, the Padre game, and our hike on March 25th at 11:30am at Poway Lake. Read on to find out more!

Happy Trails,

Pastor Debbie

Be in Prayer for our Siblings in Turkey and Syria

Please be in prayer for our siblings who are attempting to recover from the catastrophic earthquake and aftershocks that hit Turkey and Syria. It is always sobering to see the destruction that results from a strong quake. As we live in a quake-prone zone, may we be in prayer for those family who have lost loved ones, over 6000 at this point.

Baseball Fans!

If you’d like to attend the Out at the Park baseball game on April 14th, please touch base with Ryan Kelton (ryanafk@gmail.com). Seats are going fast, so hit him up!

The season is starting soon, and the San Diego Padres (the best team out there) will be hosting the Brewers at Petco Park on April 14th at 6:40pm.

As a part of their community outreach, they will be hosting Out at the Park, an event that benefits the San Diego LGBTQ+ community. Our own Outreach Board thinks this would be a terrific chance to show our allyship with the community and be a spark of God's light in the world (and you'll get a cool new hat!).

New!

Blessings from Outreach,

You did it again!! Our basket of Hope was overflowing with your gift of warmth❤️

Thank You for sharing and caring!!

Your gifts of warm coats will be a much needed blessing.

With gratitude,

The Outreach Ministry

New!

Greetings from Outreach,

This month Our Mission Offering is for One Great Hour of Sharing. Also know as OGHS. The OGHS offering is one of the 5 mission Offerings that we support as part of our UCC’s Wider Mission Offering.

This year’s them is “ It’s Time to Share”.

We live in a world in which hunger is widespread. It can be brought on by disaster’s, poverty or fleeing conflict. With our gifts, we can help OGHS to respond to hunger issues, no matter the cause, both locally and globally.

Our gift will help OGHS partners to provide immediate aid by providing food, water, shelter and compassion during time of distress. Our gifts can also allow families to plant crops, and learn more about sustainable farming. Our gifts help our partners around the world teach about food and nutrition, hygiene, waste management and environmental protection.

There is so much that can be done when we share our gifts.

We can make a difference.

We do make a difference.

Your generosity makes all the difference in the world.

God’s blessings from the

Outreach Ministry
