VIKING FEST
Viking Fest begins tonight! The 3-day event includes Viking-themed reenactors, Viking villages, stage entertainment, artisans selling crafted items, food, mead, inflatables, and more! There will also be a Keg Toss and an Iron Skillet competition.

Purchase tickets in advance for $7 or at the gate for $10.

Show your support for Team Whitestown by wearing your best BLUE outfit. The community with the most residents to attend the event wins.

BATTLE OF THE BADGES 5K
Thanks to everyone who participated in this year's Battle of the Badges 5K event that was put on by the Whitestown Parks and Recreation Dept. It was a huge success!

Also, thank you to the Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department and Whitestown Fire Department for lacing up their running shoes to face the challenge.
PLANTING FOR TOMORROW
Thank you to everyone who volunteered to plant trees at Planting for Tomorrow!

With the help of volunteers, there are now 20 newly planted oak trees along the Big 4 Trail.

THE HUSSEY-MAYFIELD MEMORIAL PUBLIC LIBRARY WHITESTOWN BRANCH OPENS!
On April 20, the Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library Whitestown Branch officially opened. The new library is located at 6310 Albert S. White Drive in Whitestown. It promises to be a beacon of knowledge and innovation for residents of all ages.
2024 PRIMARY ELECTION VOTING
The Primary Election is quickly approaching! Take a look at voting dates and locations for the primary election.

The first day of early voting in the gym of the Whitestown Municipal Complex is on Tuesday, April 30 from 1-8 p.m. Please enter through the rear gym doors on the north side of the building.

TOX DROP COLLECTION EVENT
The Boone County Solid Waste Management District has its Spring Tox Drop collection event tomorrow, Saturday, April 27 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. It is located at the Boone County Highway Garage at 1955 Indianapolis Avenue in Lebanon.

They're accepting items such as household cleaners, batteries, tires, gasoline, and more.
BLOOD DRIVE
The Versiti Bloodmobile will be Whitestown Municipal Complex parking lot on Monday, May 20 from 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m.

WMPD JOB OPENING
WMPD is currently seeking a Crime Scene Investigator (CSI). The position will assist the Criminal Investigation Division and the Patrol Division by investigating alleged felonies, minor misdemeanors, and serious misdemeanor incidents in the Town of Whitestown to establish facts necessary for clearance or arrest and court action.
OUTSTANDING TRAIL PROJECT OF THE YEAR
We are excited to announce the Town of Zionsville and Whitestown Big 4 Trail extension won the Outstanding Trail Project of the Year from Greenways Foundation!

LANE CLOSURE FOR VIKING FEST
A portion of Anson Blvd, located in front of Anson Acres Park, will be restricted to one lane from April 26 -28 to allow for parking for the Viking Fest event.
ROAD CLOSURE FOR AN EVENT
Parts of New Hope Boulevard, Gateway East Drive, Schooler Drive, and Crowley Parkway will be closed on May 11 from 9-10:30 a.m.
SPLASH PAD OPENS IN MAY
The splash pad at Main Street Park opens for the season on Friday, May 24! It'll be open for play from 9 a.m.-8:30 p.m.
SHADE STRUCTURES AT MAIN STREET PARK
Weather-dependent, shade structures will be installed at the Main Street Park Splash Pad soon. The new structures will provide additional shade for guests to enjoy the splash pad.
JACKSON RUN PARK TRAIL CONSTRUCTION
Weather-dependent, construction will begin for the trail at Jackson Run Park soon. This horseshoe-shaped trail will be a part of a 22-acre community park.
JACKSON RUN PARK PLAYGROUND CONSTRUCTION
Weather-dependent, the playground construction at Jackson Run Park plans to begin on May 6, 2024. The park will eventually include a nature-themed playground, picnic tables, and open greenspace, with on-site parking.
