May’s Art Exhibit “Between the Trees“, brought to you by Swarthmore Friends of the Arts, presents the original artwork of local artist Jessica Graae.


The exhibition will be displayed from May 1st through the end of May at Swarthmore Borough Hall, 121 Park Avenue. The public is invited to the artist’s opening reception on Friday, May 3rd, from 5 to 7 pm. Both the exhibit and the reception are free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.


Jessica Graae delights in painting landscapes of Delaware County. Primarily working in oils, she finds endless inspiration in nature and light.

Nosh & Knowledge: 3rd annual trivia fundraiser to benefit the Public Library!


Join friends for four rounds of general trivia (the “knowledge”) while also enjoying pizza and brews (the “nosh”). The team with the highest score will walk away with prizes from local stores! Don’t delay, space is limited!


  • Registration is as individuals, but you may play as a team of four
  • Each event ticket includes 1 raffle ticket, 1 drink ticket, and pizza from Renato's!

Swarthmore College Chinese Music Ensemble

Date: Sunday, MAY 5, 2024, 3:00 – 4:30 pm Location: Lang Music Concert Hall


Co-directed by Guowei Wang and Lei Ouyang, the ensemble performs traditional and contemporary music from different regions of China and the Chinese Diaspora. Students perform on traditional Chinese instruments including the guzheng (zither), erhu (bowed fiddle), pipa (plucked lute), yangqin (hammered dulcimer), dizi (flute), and percussion. 

The College MusicDance, and Theater Departments present year-round concerts and events.


The Cooper Series returns for the 2023-24 academic year with eight artistic events. See the full schedule.
