Important Schedule Change
We recognize the challenges, frustrations, and hardships caused to our families by the inclement weather in our community this week. The school is actively looking at ways to make up those days for increased learning in our classrooms.

The first measure we are taking is to adjust the professional day planned for Tuesday of next week. We will now extend the school day until 2:30 pm on Tuesday (Feb 7). The gates will open at 2 pm and the students will leave class at 2:30 pm. Additional updates will follow in the coming days regarding learning adjustments.

This change overrides our previously scheduled early dismissal for Faculty Inservice on Tuesday afternoon.

AYA Impact Day
We are proud and excited to announce our first AYA Impact Day on Wednesday (Feb 8). This project was spearheaded by the students of our Social Impact Club and Jewish Medical Action and Awareness Club and will be under their capable and inspired direction.

Our High School students will have the opportunity to participate in several chesed and social action projects on AYA Impact Day:

  • Assembling Shabbat care packages to be distributed to Jewish patients at Southwestern Hospital by Bikur Cholim of Dallas (a local support group for people experiencing medical and health related challenges).

  • Assembling snack bags to be distributed to unhoused children by Family Gateway.

  • Create special bracelets for children of the Friendship Circle.

  • Organized and led by parents of our senior students, seniors will visit Hunger Busters and prepare meals for children in need.

Why we need you: Our students are organizing a swab drive for Gift of Life at 8 am Wednesday (Feb 8) in Schultz Circle. It takes only three minutes to do a cheek swab. If Gift of Life identifies you as a match for someone in need, you may have the opportunity to donate stem cells or bone marrow to save a life.

Additionally, our students are collecting new, unwrapped gifts to be delivered to hospitalized children. Please consider sending a gift to school with your child by Tuesday (Feb 7).

We are pleased to announce our spring slate of after-school enrichment opportunities will begin Monday, Feb 13:
