Dear AYA families,

Thank you to those who joined our AYA Atid Evening Update on Tuesday. It was an informative, productive conversation, and we’re glad to have seen so many of you there. Please visit our AYA Atid page to see our FAQ regarding AYA Atid, and other aspects of the plan in progress.

The AYA Atid (Future) Plan is based on extensive research over the last 19 months into best practices for revolutionizing Jewish day schools, elevating education, and improving school affordability. The goals of AYA Atid are to:

  • Adopt instructional methods that center students, deepening their learning through the personalization of pace, learning style, interests, and real-world challenges. This includes a shift to data-driven instruction, personalized learning, and, in the upper grades, project-based learning.
  • Attract and retain great teachers by creating an environment where teachers thrive and are supported in exceptional instruction. Teachers will have competitive compensation, opportunities for career advancement without leaving the classroom, ongoing and robust professional development, and built-in preparation and collaboration time.
  • Deliver a holistic educational experience that integrates General and Judaic skills and content and offers meaningful and relevant Jewish learning.
  • Elevate community and leverage the wisdom, talent, and moral support of its members through a parent dashboard for increased transparency, keystone events, volunteer opportunities, and community engagement in project-based learning.
  • Over time, reduce the cost per student and tuition by ⅓ of the current cost.
  • Increase enrollment through superior educational outcomes driven by excellent teachers and 21st-century pedagogies, and more affordable tuition.

We invite you to share your thoughts with us by clicking the form below. Parent engagement is an important part of school culture, and there will be opportunities to get involved. Your feedback will help us transform AYA's future in impactful ways.
