Chamber Connection Newsletter May 2024
A Message from the President/CEO
Dear Members & Partners,
As we move into May, we recognize and celebrate National Small Business Week, which starts on April 28th and runs through May 4th.
For over 50 years, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has celebrated National Small Business Week, which recognizes the critical contribution of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners. NSBW is co-hosted by SCORE, mentors American’s small businesses, and is a resource partner not only of SBA but the Sebastian River Area Chamber of Commerce business partners as well. They offer free mentorship, webinars, business counseling, and training for our business community.
In addition to SBA and SCORE, our area also enjoys weVENTURE Women’s Business Center at Florida Tech, in Melbourne. They are dedicated to igniting the economic power of women entrepreneurs and partnering with clients to create sustainable business growth that strengthens “Main Street USA”. They offer support, programming, free business-driven webinars, education, and in-person and virtual consultations.
Our Small Businesses are the cornerstone of our community, and it is an honor and a privilege to service, support, promote, advertise, and market all our business members. Shop local!

Small Business has never been a bigger deal than now! Starting off with Small Business week ending on May 4th, we are excited to promote all our members who are sponsoring and participating in our Pelican Cup Golf Tournament this year! With the Star Wars theme and a full roster of teams playing for the coveted Pelican Cup trophy, this event is sure to be a galactic good time! There is still time to donate prize baskets for this event, deadline is May 1st.
Be sure to make it to the American Legion on May 22nd for the American Flag Mural Ribbon Cutting at 9am! Just two days before Memorial Day weekend begins – what a great way to honor our heritage as Americans. Please remember to register for all our events, it’s an easy click and done!
As your Membership Director, I am here to work with you and help you acquire all the benefits of your membership! Are you a part of our SRACC Member Connection page on Facebook? This is a great way to network with your fellow members! Let me know if you are not already included on this page and we will get you right in. Still wondering what your other benefits are? Then you need to make an appointment for a membership check-up! Your success is my passion.
Welcome new members to SRACC with a donation of swag. We would like to fill the bag with all of your fun and useful promotional items. What was the best swag that you had in your welcome bag? I have pens and pencils, paper pads, decals, koozies, tissues, calendars and flyswatters in the bags and would love to add more!
May will finish out with our second Finally Friday Event on Cleveland Street May 31st! We are looking forward to making great memories with the community and vendors who are participating with us. Look for our Chamber tent at the event and enjoy this Party in the Street!

Anna’s Swift Services is administrative assistance when you need it, an online notary for convenience, organizer of chaos so you have more time to enhance your bottom line. What about bookkeeping, research, or any office tasks you may delay? Don’t put it off another day. I’m your personal office genie here to help materialize your visions and take on those mundane responsibilities. Then you can concentrate on your final goals and watch your business grow.
My background includes over 30 years’ experience working from home and in offices for construction, manufacturing, local government, lawn maintenance and family-owned billiard hall. I started this business with the intention of providing personal assistance to small businesses. It is not always feasible to have full-time employees or simply full-time help is not necessary. Instead of hiring a part-time employee or using a temp service, the assistance needed can be completed without further obligation for you. Work can be completed from my office or yours.
Think about it…… You will not pay extra for benefits, taxes, or office space. Let Anna’s Swift Services do the work for you!

Hi! My name is Hannah Wintermyer. I'm a Vero Beach local, but some say I'm a Sebastian transplant. You can either find me at Target or at the beach with my almost 1 year old! I graduated from Vero Beach High School in 2016, go Indians! I then went back to my roots and got a degree from FAU. After graduating I worked as a Behavioral Therapist in the Austin, Texas area. After a few years and covid, I decided I missed Florida and realized being a therapist was NOT for me!
I started at Capt. Hiram's two years ago as their Marketing Coordinator. I do a lot of the social media for Hiram's, (check out our Facebook and Instagram pages!) as well as help out with multiple events with advertising and marketing. I love making sure our locals and out-of-town guests are happy! I was also the Race Director for the past two Triathlons, where a portion of our proceeds goes to organizations that help save our river! Hiram's has taught me so much in the early part of my marketing career, it's the best decision I've ever made! My staple statement is "Anything for The Capt!" or "AHOY!"
