Nowadays, we hear the term far more often, even when what used to be regular run – of – the – mill storms come to call. If you own coastal property, can you create a strategic plan to protect your property? Join us for a ZOOM presentation with Seth Wilkinson, founder and president of Wilkinson Ecological to understand the ins and outs of coastal property management. Various methods of restoring salt marshes, reestablishing native vegetation on coastal landforms and fortifying coastal areas without the use of traditional sea walls and rock revetments will be explained. A new twist on an old seaside tradition! A sailor's valentine is a form of shell craft, an antique souvenir, or sentimental gift made using hundreds of small seashells. Popular in the 1800's, they were designed to be brought home from a voyage at sea and given to the sailor's loved one as an expression of affection. While many of the original sailor's valentine's were of considerable size, thereby requiring weeks, if not months of work, this workshop to create a "re - imagined" sailors valentine will provide you with a beautiful piece in a few short hours. Just bring your imagination and Katri will provide everything else.

The Any Book Book Club is built around independent reading. Discussions will be wide-ranging. Bring your latest discovery or old favorites to share with the group - you’ll leave with a new list of recommendations!

Join Cape Cod writers Sharon Anderson and Dorothy Skelley as they review the history of what was once called Hyannis Airport Corporations, and how Amelia Earhart once served on the board of directors! Both accomplished storytellers, Sharon Anderson and Dorothy Skelley boast impressive backgrounds. Sharon is the founder of the Cape Cod Writer’s Studio, while Dorothy is both a writer and editor. The "I Am A Man" VR experience allows you to literally walk in the shoes of the people who fought for freedom and equality during the civil rights era. Most importantly, this project gives users a deeper awareness of their struggle. Using historical film and photographs, along with voice narrations of actual Civil Rights participants, the project falls along the lines of a new type of interactive-documentary experience.
