When you’re at church this weekend, take a look around. The construction on Faith’s new offices and conference room has begun! Accommodations have been made to facilitate the normal weekly schedule of classes and events so there will be no interruption in the schedule.

These are exciting times. We praise the Lord for all his blessings!

WELS Connection - April 2024

This month's WELS Connection features Christ Alone's Camp Compassion, a summer kids event that addresses food insecurity in St. Charles County. Discover how this one-day camp works to teach children about the compassion that Jesus has for them and how they can express that compassion to others—all to declare Christ’s love in the community.

VOLUNTEER/SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES

GREEN TEAM

Do you have teens who need service hours? Would you like to help them meet their goals AND save the church money while getting some fresh air and sunshine? Volunteering on a Green Team may be the answer!

Please call the Faith office at 847-395-1660 or email Jeremy Lohman at ministrysupport@faithantioch.org if you are interested in serving in this way.

TELLERS

Have you ever wanted to serve but it's hard to find the time? Serving as a teller happens directly after Sunday service and teams serve once every 8 weeks! The teller teams are four tellers short so please consider helping to fill this need.

If you would like to serve as a teller please call the Faith office at 847-395-1660 or email Tim Anderson at finsec@faithantioch.org if you are interested in serving in this way.

YOUTH BIBLE CLASS

Grades 7-10

Topic: God Leads His Nation

Learn how God led his people to the Promised Land through his faithful servants: Moses, judges, and kings of Israel. Lessons include in-depth study, application, and journaling.

ADULT BIBLE CLASS

Grade 11+ and Adults

New Topic: “My Life for the Kingdom”

This 10-week course (based on Genesis chapters 37-50) uses the life of Joseph and his family to help students discover the ways God graciously equips them to bless others and how he uses evil intentions for the good of his people.

WEDNESDAY EVENINGS at 7 PM

ADULT BIBLE CLASS

Adults

Topic: Job

Most Christians are familiar with the story of Job, the wealthy man who lost everything as part of Satan’s plan to destroy his faith. But few Christians have read the entire book, including the lengthy discourse between Job and his friends. Studying this book in its entirety gives Christians insight into the heart and mind of a suffering Christian, giving the readers an important framework for their own times of suffering.

THURSDAY MORNING at 9AM

WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY

Adult women

New Topic: “Families of the Bible”

This 8-week course explores familiar Biblical family relationships - from Adam and Eve to Mary and her son Jesus - and the challenges those families faced. Each lesson examines Scriptural truths from a biblical family circumstance and applies them to modern family life.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Week of April 28, 2024
President's Pen - April 2024

PRAYER OF THE WEEK

Heavenly Father, praise be to you for your merciful love in Christ that chose me even before the world began. It was your pleasure and plan from all eternity that I should be your own for all eternity, holy and blameless in your sight (Ephesians 1:4-6). I glorify you for sending your Son to carry out my salvation. I thank you for calling me through your Word and justifying me by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Let your eternal plan comfort me in all trials and reassure me of my eternal inheritance that you have promised and sealed in me with your Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13,14), so that no one can ever snatch me out of your hand (John 10:27-29). In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
