Around the House. March | 2022
It’s Social Work Month, and we’re saluting the talented team in our Social Services Department. Below, read the stories of two dedicated professionals from this department and a Broadway House client who is ready to start a new life, thanks to their care.
“You Are Not Alone”
Since 2014, countless Broadway House residents have turned to Medical Case Manager Mauricio “Max” Rodriguez for the support to become healthier, stronger, and more independent.
“Thank You For Being Here”
Maria Lorenzo has seen many changes in HIV/AIDS care during her 31 years in the field. But one thing hasn’t changed—the gratitude of the residents she cares for. Learn how this Social Worker puts her experience to work for Broadway House residents.
“Broadway House Is A Blessing To Me”
Terry Konicke came to Broadway House unable to walk and battling a drug addiction. It’s taken hard work and constant support from professionals like Max and Maria (above), but today, Terry is back on her feet and looking forward to starting a new life.
