Methuen Day - Magical History Tour
October 13 10am - 2pm

This year we are happy to be joining other groups to celebrate Methuen Day and so we are highlighting Methuen's history by sponsoring the Methuen Magical History Tour.  This  walking tour  includes historical sites around the downtown as well as meet and greet with local businesses. Start your tour on Hampshire street and wind your way around the downtown, checking out the businesses and getting a sticker for your map....show us some stickers and we'll give you a prize.  There is also a cool new online tour that you can  follow on your phone.  Tag your pictures with #nevinslibrary  so we can all share the fun.
World War I Project with Marc LaPlante
 October 30 7pm
Lawrence City Councilor Marc LaPlante has been conducting research on World War I, focusing on veterans from the Merrimack Valley.  Mr. LaPlante will be at the Nevins Library to share the stories of those veterans, many from Methuen. This program is free and is yet another way to honor those that fought in "The Great War." All summer we have been asking you to participate in our Poppy Project...this is a chance to connect with stories of local servicemen and women.
