Our Vision Statement:
We are a welcoming community FIRST UNITED in proclaiming FAITH in Jesus Christ, sharing HOPE for the future, and inspiring LOVE of our neighbors.

Presbyterian Women Update

The P.W. Talbot Circle will be meeting for lunch TODAY (6/8) at 11:30am at the Village Grille. Please R.S.V.P. to Barb Kraus now (920-983-6149), so they can have enough seats ready.

*Check later in this newsletter for details about this summer's P.W. "On the Go" trips beginning two weeks from today!

Special Time Together Tomorrow

Our Youth Group will be getting together around our fire pit one more time for an End-of-the-Year Cookout on Friday (6/9) from 5:30 until 7:30pm. They'll wrap up their program year, honor Sarah and Aoife (active seniors), and have lots of fun!

Plans for This Sunday

Have you ever thought something simply could not be as good as it seems? That it's just too good to be true? It seems as if bad news is readily believable, but the good news is almost unbelievable. There are many stories in the Bible that center around characters with big faith who take big risks and obey God's Word, even when they aren't sure of the outcome. Hope you'll join us Sunday (6/11) at 9am when we'll read Genesis 12:1-9 and Romans 4:13-25 (*click for links) and learn from one of these people of faith. Hope to see you on Sunday!

(This week our Joyful Noise group will be playing "Way Maker" and "Who You Say I Am." Click the titles for YouTube links if you'd like to get more familiar with them.)

Also this Sunday, we'll be offering a special salute to De Pere Social Workers who help us with the Christmas Store and other area projects for our neighbors. We'll recognize all their great work and share special refreshments during Coffee Fellowship Time after church to show our appreciation.

Sharing the Love

Last evening, our June Agape Drive-Thru Dinner welcomed lots of church family, neighbors, and friends. THANK YOU to our wonderful Agape volunteers for sharing the love again on behalf of our church family. Mark your calendar for our next Agape Dinner planned for Wednesday, July 5.

All Creatures Great & Small

It's time for the summer return of Presbyterian Women "On the Go!" Their first trip is coming two weeks from today - traveling to Black Frog Farm in Maribel on Thursday (6/22) at 10am. During the $8 tour, our visitors will meet chickens, sheep, goats, pigs, and llamas. Expect a fun and educational experience followed by lunch in Denmark. Please R.S.V.P. soon to Susan Leiber (920-337-0979).

Bible School Will Be Out of This World!

Registration for Vacation Bible School 2023 is available now on our website (or click here)! It'll be taking place on Sunday, July 23 - 27, and be open to preschool age through current 5th graders. This year's theme is "Stellar," and kids will be launched on a cosmic quest where they'll have a blast shining Jesus' light to the world. We'll need lots of youth and adult help to make this faith-building event a big success, so sign up now!

The Dining Divas in June

The next dinner for our Dining Divas is planned for Tuesday (6/27) at 6pm. The location will be LedgeStone Vineyards (6381 WI 57, Greenleaf). If you'd like to join them, please R.S.V.P. to Pastor Meggan , Debbie Spiegel, or Rachel O'Brien by Wednesday (6/21) so the right amount of space can be reserved for dinner. Join the Divas!

Summer Fun & Exercise

A new, monthly event called Wilderness Wednesday will begin on Wednesday (6/28) at 9am with a moderate trail hike in Baird's Creek beginning at Christa McAuliffe Park (3100 Sitka St, Green Bay) and ending at the Farwell's house! We'll then drive back to retrieve cars after an ice cream treat. Contact Pastor Meggan for more details. Also, mark July 19 on your calendar for the second special date. Hope you'll join us!

A Flavorful Fundraiser

You'll enjoy our new D.P.C.O. Christmas Store fundraising project! Going on right now through June 24 (excluding Tuesdays), Papa Murphy's will donate 20% of online purchases to our Christmas project. Order online at PapaMurphys.com from locations in East or West De Pere or West Mason, then enter the code SUPPORT at checkout.

Special Recipe to Share

Here's Dawn Picard's "Lavendar Lemonade" recipe enjoyed at the recent Dead Reformers Society gathering:

>One cup of sugar >One tablespoon of dried lavender (available on Amazon.com) >One cup boiling water

*Mix together... stir until sugar is dissolved... cover, let sit 30 minutes or until cool.

>One and half cups of lemon juice >Two cups cold water

*Strain the sugar water to remove the lavender and mix with lemon juice and cold water. Stir. If lemonade is too sweet, add more lemon juice. If too sour, add more sugar and water. Enjoy!
