Lincoln County Television & Media Center is your non-profit, public access, community media for and about the citizens of Lincoln County, Maine

LCTV News January 10, 2023

Hello Claire,

If you can remember back three Januarys ago, you might have been part of the music-loving audience who packed the Lincoln Theater for our "Fill the Coffers" fundraiser with the music of The Last Waltz. (Lincoln County News reporter Evan Houk did a great review of the show.)

Three years on, we're all a bit older and hopefully wiser. As a non-profit dedicated to serving our community, LCTV is certainly in a better place - stronger than ever before - thanks to all our supporters, Sponsors, Community Partners, friends, and viewers.

To keep us strong, we're bringing Bobby Colwell and his friends back again to warm up a chilly Sunday afternoon in January. Join us at The Waldo Theatre on Jan 22 at 2:00pm for the first of our three "Cabin Fever Reliever" concerts: The Last Waltz with the music of The Band. All the details below.

As Bobby mentioned to us yesterday:

“The Last Waltz has Muddy Waters juxtaposed with Joni Mitchell, and it just works! The sum is greater than its parts and is full of the unexpected - just like the music scene in Maine. Playing this show is always a blast - an absolute blast.”

This week, we've got plenty of basketball and a new Wiscasset Chamber Chat tomorrow night with host Pat Cloutier and Ed Colburn, co-owner and chef of Water Street Kitchen and Bar. (That's the photo above.) And of course a new Wuzzup News Show on Thursday.

Basketball Racking Up Views

We're halfway nearly mid-season for the Medomak Valley Panthers and Lincoln Academy Eagles.

Since Dec 1, you the viewers have logged more than 13,500 YouTube views! At last Friday's boys game where the Panthers and Eagles went head-to-head, we had 163 people watching the game on YouTube simultaneously!

If you can't make the games or want to see them again, go to LCTV.org and scroll down. Or visit LCTV's YouTube page.

Please subscribe so you can get an alert whenever we start a live stream: Subscribe to LCTV's YouTube.

And as always, thanks to our Basketball Sponsors for their support for LCTV and our players.

Cabin Fever Reliever Concerts

It's just 12 days until our first 2023 Cabin Fever Reliever concert with Bobby Colwell and friends performing all the songs that made The Last Waltz concert film famous.

Join us Sunday Jan 22 at 2:00pm (doors open 1:30pm) at The Waldo Theatre.

Online tickets here: LCTV Cabin Fever Reliever Concerts Series.
