March for Medicare for All

Oregon Progressive Party believes that health care is a human right and that Oregon and the United States should have a healthcare system which is universal (everyone in; nobody out) and affordable. Therefore, we have joined with others who believe the same in hosting the March for M4A (Medicare for All). This Portland rally is one of many on this date across the nation. Oregon Progressive Party will be here; please join us, look for our banner. We will have voter registration cards so you can join the Party or update your voter registration information.

Saturday, July 24th, 12:00 PM
Shemanski Park, 1010 SW Park Ave, Portland, OR 97205

During the COVID-19 pandemic, 15 million Americans lost their employer-sponsored health insurance. This in addition to the 87 million that were uninsured or under-insured before the crisis. It's time for universal, public healthcare - free at the point of service and guaranteed for all. It's time for Medicare for All.

On July 24th, Medicare for All supporters from Washington D.C. to Los Angeles to Portland are holding a national day of action for Medicare for All. Join us in Portland at Shemanski Park starting at noon.

Keep up to date on the event planning on the event website.
Oregon People's Rebate
Could you use $750 annually for each of your family members?

Oregon Progressive Party has expressed support for the Oregon People's Rebate, an initiative petition campaign for the November 2022 election.

The initiative would increase the state corporate minimum tax on sales in Oregon of over $25 million per year and distribute the additional revenue raised to every bona fide Oregon resident. The campaign estimates that increase will support a individual rebate of $750 per person who resided in Oregon for at least 200 days during the prior year.

The campaign has received a Certified Ballot Title from the OR Secretary of State, which has been appealed to the Oregon Supreme Court. So at least for now the campaign is not able to collect the 112,020 valid Oregon signatures to get this on the ballot. But stay tuned, because when we can, we want to be ready to hit the street running. Interested in being part of the team? Please send an email expressing interest to the Oregon Progressive Party and/or to the Oregon People's Rebate campaign directly.
