CARE CAMPS FUNDRAISING SEND A CHILD TO ONCOLOGY CAMP
Each year, RVing and Camping Week supports a charitable cause and in 2022 we have committed to supporting Care Camps of Canada, a charity which helps children battling cancer attend a specialized Oncology Camp.
The BC Lodging and Campgrounds Association is hosting an online auction until May 29th with over 100 items to bid on from glamping to camping gadgets. All proceeds go to Care Camps, and we hope to raise over $10,000. Alternatively, people can donate $22.00 or $44.00 or more. We have a prize for a lucky someone who chooses to tap and donate.

CAMPER'S CODE
The BC Lodging and Campgrounds Association (BCLCA) expects more than 1,000,000 campers will Camp or RV in British Columbia this year!
The importance of campgrounds to outdoor enthusiasts was amplified during the height of the COVID 19 pandemic, when more and more Canadians looked at camping for the first time as a safe, and healthy way to get outdoors and vacation responsibly.
With more first-time campers in British Columbia, the BCLCA found the need to ask people to be a respectful camper and in 2021 introduced the Camper’s Code. The Camper’s Code consists of nine simple messages to inspire a sense of shared responsibility and an understanding of appropriate behaviour. Campers are encouraged to take an online pledge and to help inspire a camping culture that is rooted in common sense, respect, and sustainability.
Visit camperscode.com, take the pledge and share it with others. Canadian pledgers can receive a sticker.

WorkSafe BC Incident Investigation Reports Can Now Be Completed Online
WorkSafe BC is pleased to announce a new online tool to make it easier for employers to complete and submit employer incident investigation reports (EIIRs). EIIRs play a crucial role in keeping workplaces safe by helping determine why an incident happened and what can be done to prevent similar situations in the future.
Your responsibilities to conduct and report on an employer incident investigation
Under the Workers Compensation Act, employers are responsible for investigating certain incidents or near-misses that take place in the workplace and completing reports at specific points in the process. Employers can document their reports in whatever format they wish, with many opting to use WorkSafe BC’s fillable PDF templates and resources to complete their EIIRs.
New online Employer Incident Investigation Reports application
To further simplify the process, WorkSafe BC is introducing a new tool that enables employers to easily complete EIIRs online and submit them to WorkSafe BC when required.
The new EIIR application is available through your WorkSafe BC online services account and allows employers to create reports at various stages of an investigation, pre-populate information from one report to another, save a partially completed report, and view previously submitted reports.
