Family Day Skate and Bonfire
The Township would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the volunteers and firefighters who helped make our first Family Day Skate event a success.

Although we were not able to use the ice, the community and Rosemont Firefighters Association were able to raise $721.50 for Muscular Dystrophy.

On behalf of the Rosemont Firefighters Association, thank you! We look forward to our next community event.
Music in the Hills Festival
June 24th 2022 – Mansfield Ski Club
The second annual Music in the Hills Festival will support Youth Initiatives in Dufferin County with 100% of proceeds being split evenly between Streams Community Hub, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dufferin and CMHA - YouthTalk Dufferin.

Council Recognition
Council would like to take the opportunity to recognize Hill n Dale Landscaping for receiving the Georgian Lakelands Chapter Awards of Distinction as 2021 Employer of the Year. Congratulations to James Godbold and team for their achievement!
 
At the February 2, 2022 meeting, Council received nominations for Senior of the Year and Outstanding Citizen of the Year. It is with great pleasure that Mulmur recognize and award:
 
Gordon Laird as Mulmur’s 2022 Senior of the Year and
Carl Alexander with Mulmur’s 2022 Outstanding Citizen Award

Termination of Emergency Orders
On March 1, 2022 Mayor Horner and the Township of Mulmur terminated its COVID-19 Emergency Declaration.
 
The Township of Mulmur declared an Emergency on March 30, 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. In accordance with the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act, an Emergency Declaration provides the Mayor with the authority to take actions and make orders they consider necessary to protect property and the health, safety and welfare of the Township and its residents.
 
The City of Guelph, Wellington County and Dufferin County, all of whom fall under the Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health service delivery area, also terminated their Emergency Declarations on March 1, 2022.

Spring Load Restrictions
Spring load restrictions are now in effect on all Township of Mulmur and County of Dufferin Roads. As per the Highway Traffic Act, loads must be kept under 5 tonnes per axle on all roads.
The restriction period typically occurs between March 1st and May 15th and is dependent on weather and road conditions.

Public Transportation in Mulmur
The County of Dufferin is currently exploring the feasibility of an on-demand public transportation service for Dufferin residents. This service would provide transportation for Mulmur residents, to various areas in Dufferin County and beyond.
