PBC's February Business of the Month:
|
Congratulations to Edward Jones-John Pascucci! John's business was nominated for the Business of the Month Award because of his consistent and continued support of both the PBC and the Penfield Community!
John and his business attend just about every community event that arises, especially those of the Rotary (Golf Tournaments) and the PBC. He has offered his business location as a drop-off for food items for the Penfield Ecumenical Food Shelf, as well as a drop-off location for Toys for Tots. John is always willing to donate his time to volunteer in any capacity needed, such as emcee/event set-up, distributing PBC Welcome Brigade Bag materials, hosting webinars, soliciting sponsorships, and more! John's business offers several webinars on a wide variety of financial topics. From saving for college to saving for retirement, which have been very well-received by attendees. Our business has been around for over 80 years. We have always been a local family owned business. Our area of expertise is vintage coin operated equipment. My grandfather and his brother both ran Flower City Amusements with over 70 accounts across Rochester that our arcade games, candy machines, soda machines, and cigarette machines were placed at. Those who grew up in and around Rochester may remember USA Skate, Olympic Bowl, The Humphrey House, Sharkeys Skate-Way, and AMF Empire Lanes: all examples of where we placed numerous arcade games along with other equipment. As the new owner of my families business, I wanted to open an arcade using some of the same games that my grandfather owned along with some newer additions. In the past year I have managed to make this dream become a reality. Flower City Arcade is currently the newest “old” arcade featuring over 35 vintage arcade games. Rather than use quarters or tokens we have implemented a $10 per person admission while all the games remain on free play. We offer unlimited fun at one low price because fun is our game. Visit our Facebook page, or better yet - stop by at 1676 Penfield Road!

Get an early start on Valentine’s Day!

We’re looking forward to a rewarding time of learning and enjoyment while raising money for the library’s future.
The event is currently planned for both an in-person and Zoom component and will adhere to whatever COVID regulations apply on the day of the event. If all stays as it is currently, BayTowne Wine and Spirits can accommodate 12 people in the tasting room, and a much larger group on Zoom.
Those 12 onsite tasting-room spots are available on a first-come-first-served basis. Zoomers may gather however they wish at home with selected wines, and will be able to ask questions just as the onsite people will.
We look forward to seeing you!
