Greetings Bishop Chatard Families,

It is hard to believe that the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year is just over two weeks away. I am honored to join a community that sets 100 percent graduation rate and 100 percent retreat attendance as major goals. I believe these goals are achievable thanks to our staff’s commitment to our mission in educating the whole person and inspiring a lifelong commitment to faith, service, learning, and leadership. I understand and commit fully to this mission, in large part because of my Catholic upbringing and education.

I am a 2008 graduate of Roncalli High School. Following high school, I studied at Marian University, where over the course of time I earned my Bachelor's degree, a Master’s in Teaching, and an Administrative Licensure certificate. I am entering my eighth year in education. Over the last seven years I served in a variety of roles at Roncalli, including social studies teacher, basketball and football coach, and assistant principal. I am fortunate to have had so many opportunities in Catholic education, and I realize those opportunities were made possible by my parents.

My parents are both long-time educators who sacrificed so much for me to have a Catholic education. I cannot thank you enough for the similar sacrifices of time, talent, and treasure you have also made in order to send your child to Bishop Chatard. We are grateful to serve your family in partnership with you, and we understand the great responsibility you have entrusted to us.

We approach this responsibility by rooting everything we do in the transformational aspect of our mission: lifelong commitments. We will always acknowledge the importance and relevance of learning physics, world history, and theology. However, it is a mindset of appreciation toward learning, having a Christ-centered life, and commitment to others that will help us prepare Trojans for the world beyond Bishop Chatard. To do this, and to ensure our students build a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, we will always focus on the rigor, relevance, and relationships we build.

In closing, I look forward to partnering with you. Watch your email for back-to-school information including orientation details, PowerSchool registration, and more that will be shared with school families very soon. In the meantime, I pray you and your family are able to enjoy these last few weeks of summer, and we look forward to welcoming students on August 9th!

Go Trojans!
