Clinical Confidence in Orthodontic Procedures: Perceptive Survey of Dentists:
Dear Colleague:
We are inviting you to participate in a research study to examine orthodontic procedures a dentist (non-orthodontist) is comfortable performing in-office. Completion of the survey is voluntary and will require as little as 4 minutes of your time, with no further follow-up. Information being collected about you will be de-identified and only the study researchers will have access to your de-identified information.
This study has been reviewed and approved by the Midwestern University Institutional Review Board (IRB#24013).

Course Objectives: 1. Briefly review transmission of bloodborne pathogens including Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and Human Immunodeficiency Virus. 2. Discuss prevention of bloodborne pathogen and aerosol transmissible disease transmission through the use of proper hand hygiene, utilizing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and following proper protocols for sterilization and disinfection of patient-care items and dental water lines.
