This month offers us a great opportunity to learn about the unique cultures, traditions and experiences of First Nations, Inuit and Métis.

It's a time to honour the stories, achievements and resilience of Indigenous Peoples, who have lived on this land since time immemorial.

Unity is referred to as a spiritual, not religious, movement that allows change and evolvement to occur.

Are there words and phrases we use at Unity that are no longer applicable? Are there words and phrases we use at Unity that are too “Christian” for what we actually believe?

This is an open-ended question and may not be the same for each person. Let’s spend some time exploring what meanings we attach to some common Christian and Bible words and phrases we use at Unity.

Are we saying what we really mean?

Marilyn first attended Unity Kitchener in November 2003, became a member in early 2004 and immediately knew she had found her spiritual home. She has taken an active interest in Unity Kitchener serving on several teams, organizing events, fundraisers, and currently serving on the Unity Kitchener Board.

She is a certified facilitator for Bob Proctor’s “The Science of Getting Rich” program, True Colors and an accredited life coach through the Brave Thinking Institute.
