As we ring in 2023, we reflect on 2022 with
Gratitude and Appreciation
2022 was a year of tremendous growth for CAPP. We eagerly welcomed new faculty and staff to our growing team, including CAPP Program Manager Mae Lum, MA and Eating Disorders Consultant Lindsey Bruett, PhD. To date, CAPP has enrolled approximately 1,400 Primary Care Providers across 240 practices in 32 California counties, including Los Angeles and San Fernando.

|
We heartily welcome recently enrolled practices, including San Fernando Community Health Center, Foster City Pediatrics, Daisy Pediatrics, Hill Health, University Pediatric Center, and Fresno Unified Health Services. As you can see from the heat map, our highest call volumes continue to come from our many Greater Bay Area colleagues. However, we also want to give a big shout out to our integrated care champion colleagues at Northern Inyo Associates (Inyo countypopulation < 20,000), whose consultation per capita is by far the highest in CAPP's geographic catchment area! The heat map to the left shows the numbers of CAPP consults by patient county.

We are immensely grateful to our many partners, including the AAP California Chapter 1, the California Children's Hospital Association, the California Primary Care Association, Kids and Caregivers, Youth Minds Alliance, the California Children's Trust, the Fresno Madera Medical Society, our colleagues at UCSF Fresno Pediatrics, Valley Children's Hospital, Stanford, Feather River Tribal Health, the Community Health Care Network, La Clinica de la Raza, the California School-Based Health Alliance, UCSF Benioff Children's Physicians and the Department of Health Care Services Think Tank members for their invaluable input into CAPP's current and future programming, progressive development and ongoing expansion. We've richly enjoyed partnering with each of you in our collective efforts to expand access and improve the quality of mental health care for California's children and youth.

CAPP Educational Programming:
2022 in Review
|
In 2022, the UCSF CAPP CME Committee held a series of monthly webinars and Project ECHO sessions covering a range of topics related to psychopharmacology, mental disorders, and therapeutic interventions. These topics included anxiety, depression, suicide assessment, autism, behavior management, sleep, ADHD, trauma, early childhood mental health, eating disorders, motivational interviewing, and others.
In 2023, the webinars and Project ECHO sessions will continue, offering AMA Category 1 CME credit; Project ECHO also offers the opportunity to earn American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Part 2 and Part 4 credit commensurate with participation and completion of MOC activities. Medical providers who have not yet participated in CAPP's Project ECHO are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible.
Recordings of our past events can be found on our website.

Upcoming Webinars (with CME)
CAPP offers a virtual monthly webinar series occurring on the second Thursday of each month, with occasional special topics offered on other days. Both webinars and Project ECHO participation are free.
