Frost Week
Your King's University College Students' Council (KUCSC) is hosting Frost Week, with a variety of events to welcome you to the winter term and show why King's is the place to be. Events include live music with Rick McGhie, Culture Day, winter tubing and a London Knights game. Some events have limited space, so be sure to register. Learn more about Frost Week.
Bounce Back This Winter Term
Throughout the month of January there are a variety of events and workshops available to help you get the full experience of King's. From goal setting to note-taking workshops, there will also be an improv session to help you with your communications skills, as well as a fun scavenger hunt with a chance to win prizes. Recruitment Officers from Enrolment Services will be available by appointment to talk about your course selection, degree opportunities if you’re not sure which path you want to take, and plan for the future.

Student Leadership Opportunities at King’s
Residence Staff (paid position) – Applications are now open. The deadline is January 18. Join the Residence Life Staff as a Residence Assistant or House Coordinator. Questions? Visit the website for more information or contact residence@kings.uwo.ca.
International Peer Guides – Applications are now open on the King's website. Peer Guides assist international and exchange students new to King’s with adjustment to university life and Canadian culture. Peer guides commit to spending one to two hours per week with their peers throughout the fall term and stay in touch during the winter term.

Academic Dean's Office Information Sessions
The Academic Advising Office is holding drop-in hours from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m., until January 17. If you have questions about your program, progression, or special permissions, please come in or sign up for a drop-in appointment (available virtually and in-person). For questions about adding, dropping, or swapping courses, or for help with your timetable, please call the Enrolment helpline: 519-433-3491 (9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.).

Grad Awards Applications
The Graduate Awards are presented to students during the annual Grad Ball. Applications are open starting January 20. Save the date! Grad Ball is taking place on March 19. Early bird tickets go on sale January 23.

Join the King's University Chamber Choir
There are a few spots open in the King's University College Chamber Choir. Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings as they prepare for the next concert on April 1. They welcome choral singers who are part of the King's/Western community -- students, faculty, professional officers, staff, or alumni. Set up your vocal interview. Basketball Tryouts
King's will be running a team in the men's division of the OCAA extramural program this winter. Practice and tryouts will be on January 21 and 28 at the Althouse College Gym, Faculty of Education (1137 Western Road) at 4 p.m. Please email Professor Jason Neyers for more information.

MEM Help Centre Returns
The MEM Help Centre returns this semester to help first- and second-year students with their MEM course work. This peer-run centre is available weekday evenings from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. in the Cram Family Lounge in the King Student Life Centre.

Ask Joe
Join your Dean of Students, Joe Henry, in the King Student Life Centre on January 18 at 11 a.m. for a quick chat or ask him any questions you might have. Dean Joe will be on King's Instagram Live with special guest Emily Skinner. Emily is the Student Engagement and Transition Coordinator and she will be talking about all of the exciting events and workshops this January to welcome you back to campus. You can find Emily in front of Kenny Theatre on Tuesdays from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. and as part of the Bounce Back Program, she will also be available on Wednesday, January 18 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

BIPOC Support Group
This is a safe place for you to be heard, seen and relate to one another. There will be conversations regarding racism, discrimination, microaggression, sexism, etc. This platform acknowledges each individual's differences and projects their voice on campus.

Celebrate Lunar New Year with King's International
On January 22, we celebrate Lunar New Year, the Year of the Rabbit. The rabbit is a symbol of longevity, peace, and prosperity in Chinese culture. 2023 is predicted to be a year of hope. Celebrate the Year of the Rabbit with a delicious dinner with King's International.

Join us for Sunday Eucharist
Masses are offered on Sundays at 10 a.m. in The Chapel at Windermere on the Mount (1486 Richmond Street). Mass is at 5 p.m. on Sundays and is followed by a community meal in the parish hall. Daily Mass is on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. in The Chapel at Windermere and Wednesdays through Fridays at noon in Christ the King Chapel in Wemple.
